It's less damaging on the hair to pass a hot tool one time at a higher heat than to pass repeatedly with a lower heat.

Good video girl, I'm a nurse and need to get ready pronto. So the dry bar looks like a better option

“Unpopular” opinion: I’m loving the DryBar finish! It’s more sleek, and you finished faster! I have very full, medium strand hair (4a-4b), so I don’t need more volume! Very cool video.

You’re very relaxing to listen to, as well as great content. Thank you! One thing I worry about with any of these smoothing brushes is that we all seem to have the tendency to keep on brushing longer than maybe is necessary... because we’re used to brushing lots with ordinary brushes, which is so relaxing. I worry a bit that this might be damaging to the hair long ter,m... we wouldn’t, after all, go over and over the hair so often with a straightening iron, would we?

So helpful! I was literally debating if I should buy both for my daughter and let her compare, but after seeing your video it is clear the GHD side looks healthier!

I do like the GHD Glide side better but I do like that the DRYBAR brush straightens your hair better and quicker. And, if push came to shove, you could quickly take a curly iron to the ends to give it a bounce
@jmomma71245 жыл бұрын
I agree with your opinion. I like the ghc better. It’s shiny and more bounce like you said. Great vid, as usual! 🙃

The GHD side is way better, shinier and you have the added bonus of putting a bit of a wave/curl at the end of your hair. The Drybar side looks dryer, less shiny and it is very straight. I really cringed when you raised the heat to 450 degrees on the Drybar, you have such beautiful hair and I did not want you applying that excessive high heat to your hair. I breathed a sigh of relief when you reduced the temp back down to 370 degrees. (Chica, you almost gave me a heart attack with the 450 degrees of heat!!) I wonder if, now that it is October if the GHD is more readily available here in the USA. Thank you for your videos! You rock!!

I love your hair so much my hair is super straight. I like my hair too but i wish i also had curly hair .You have the best of both world you have curly hair. But then you can straight your hair and it looks so shiny and beautiful. My hair in the other hand is so hard to hold a curl. Hope you countinue to post videos God bless you

It worries me to use these. Because you have to go over the hair so many times. And it appears you must work a bit to get the root. But... the shine is beautiful!!! Haha. I was tired and rolled my hair forgot to put a style cream in my hair. Geeeez I have helmet ⛑ friz tonight and couldn’t bother with the straightener, hat, it’s is! This seems so much easier... I love the curl you get with the other brush. Is there more bristles on the yellow brush? Girl, I’m going grey. So I keep low heat on my hair. 340-380. So you can’t dial in the black brush? Thanks so much for this review. Have to say. The black brush wins! GHD

Do you wish the GHD went up to 450 Degrees? Does anyone wish it was able to adjust temperature or are you fine that it forces you to one temperature?

I have a straightening brush but I always have issues that my roots are curly which I have to use a straightener for. What I usually like to use is the revlon one step hair drying brush. It’s quick easy and leaves my hair with a lot of volume and really soft.

I have the dry bar one n literally got it that day or two after it launched. I had some reward from Sephora for dry bar products so used it to buy it from the dry bar salon. Sorry to say, it was the worst purchase. After couple of uses, I noticed my scalp was getting very flaky. Literally as if I had dandruff. I noticed that after coffee break with Dani talked about it in one video. Since then, my brush crush has been sleeping in the drawer. And I have beautiful hair. Naturally beach wavy. I use the dyson dryer very time I blow dry n finish off with my babyliss flat iron which I have for like 8 yrs!!

If would probably be faster if you brushed your hair strand through with a teaser brush, AND then straightened it Also my name is also Julissa
@happyme90105 жыл бұрын
The dry bar side looks more like you used straighteners, so it straightens well but then the ghd will give you a different effect if you already own straighteners, not just poker straight.

The higher temperature settings is for people with very coarse and thick hair/ more ethnic hair. Be careful with the high heat setting it can cause heat damage to your curl pattern that is irreversible.
