Ghetsis did the old dictator move: convince people firearms(Pokemon) are bad, have the people give them up, and then his group takes over.

3:11 the thing is the move Glaciate doesn't freeze its target. So, Ghetsis was crazy enough to try to KILL the Player. He's truly unhinged.

I agree, Ghetsis is one of the most evil villains. He's very dishonorable, flying into a rage after being defeated. Although Cyrus's plans had a greater impact, he still has a few redeeming qualities: a Freudian excuse, moments of being legitimately affable, and wanting to rid the world of strife. Plus, in defeat, he has more dignity, even noting the player's prowess. Although Volo did intend to return later to conquer Arceus, he still took his leave after being defeated. Even handed over the Spooky Plate.

As for Cyrus's past, he felt rejected, having failed to meet his parents' expectations, despite being a good student. His grandfather even regrets not taking him in during this time.

Ghetsis will always be my favourite villain, the genius, the scheming and everything is just perfect, it probably helps that black 2 was my first ever pokemon game

Honestly i've never been too fond of the plot of gen v But ghetsis is a good villain yes He's clearly evil and egocentric from the beginning But he has a good way with words appealing to emotion and the hearts of people. And after N is beaten and he just mocks him before revealing he never believed in anything he said That's how you do a manipulator

Seeing and completely agreeing, compare to the other Pokemon villains like Giovanni, Archie, Maxie, and many others, Ghetsis was just a horrible guy, taking advantage of N and even having a team center around defeating N’s team Compare to the barely existing relationship between Giovanni and his son Silver, yeah, I get why Silver ran away, but at least Giovanni was there and in the manga (HeartGold & SoulSilver Arc) he supports Silver’s decision of not join Team Rocket Ghetsis is just using N’s nature to his advantage, N deserves better. (Sorry for the long comment, I’m very into Pokemon)
