I would like to give the argument to give Seregios the Sharpness ability. A Unique part of Seregios' weapons in the 4th gen games is that they automatically sharpen themselves when you roll around, This is still in Sunbreak as a Rampage decoration, plus Seregios introduced the Bleed status. His entire gimmick is that he's extremely Sharp.

Personally, I think Primordial would make sense to also have the fighting type. 1). Its based visually on a knight, which various fighting type pokemon are also based on (i.e. Gallade, Chesnaught and Sirfetch'd). 2). It would give it a type advantage against both regular Malzeno (which it is much stronger than) and against Gaismagorm (which it was able to drive away)

I’d like to give the argument that gore magala should just be dark type since his species type is “???” Giving mystery as to what this thing actually is (cause I feel like giving it dragon type would kinda break the mystery even though it’s not a mystery anymore) and then you can give shagaru magala the dragon type as a sort of evolution kinda like how other Pokemon gain an extra type after evolving. If you want to give the counter argument that shagaru should still be psychic dragon then we can make chaotic a dark psychic or dark dragon. Still great vid tho.

Heres the mechanic used to evolve Gore Magala into Chaotic Gore Magala. You first have to get it to Levle 50 while its holding a Vile Frenzy so it can evolve into a Shagru Magala. As it's evolving you have to press the B Button halfway down! Tell me that isn't evil?

Aurora Sombacath is based off a Yuki-Onna, a pretty famous Japanese Yokai/monster. I would switch base Gore and Chaotic Gore type cause Gore is still an infant while Chaotic can draw upon the power of the Dragon. Garongolm should be Grass/Ground cause in lore it’s a living fertilizer and even maintains the soil. You could also give Gold and Silver the Steelworker as a hidden ability. Primordial Malzeno would be Steel/Dragon, he represents Vlad Tepes the knight before he became Dracula.

I still have some changes I'd make Magnamalo would be Ghost fire since it's not explicitly made of metal which for steel types is a requirement for the type Zinogre would be part normal type rather than fighting to represent how it can't generate electricity on its own and needs thunderbugs to do so Astalos would be Electric Flying as to tie in with the rest of the fated four's interactions with each other (Astalos beats Mizutsune, Mizutsune beats Glavenus, Glavenus beats Gammoth, Gammoth beats Astalos) Seregios would be dark flying to represent its introduction of the bleeding status which defiantly sounds like a dark type condition Espinas should defiantly be Poison and fire since it uses and often Mixes the two (also slow start would make sense for it as in Frontier it's pretty slow to get going even when you do manage to wake it up) Gore Magala would be Dark Poison to represent the effects of the frenzy virus Shagaru Magala would be poison dragon to represent its greater control over the virus Garangolem would be fighting grass with the grass coming from the moss growing on its body Giasmagorm would be dark and ground as it's a subterranean creature (since it lives underground and in giant holes) and clearly likes to dig given how massive its claws are (seriously claws like those are like having shovels for hands) Lucent Nargacuga would be dark poison because it's a nocturnal monster that uses poison attacks Amatsu would be flying and water due to it being in the air all the time and extensive use of water attacks Primordial Malzeno would be dragon steel due to several parts of its body looking like they're made of metal

Ok, something to note. While I agree with Gore Magala being Dark/Dragon Type, Gore itself isn't an Elder Dragon, since Traps still work on it. Otherwise, Amazing video. Also, don't sell yourself short, you're a great hunter. Seeing how skilled you were when hunting with you in MHGU shows I still have room to grow.

ok bro listen, i enjoy the list BUT i have this criticisms 1- elder dragon is more so a a treat level category than a species or type of power. hell, there are some monsters that are not ed that can use dragon type attacks. 2- you need to expand the types you use; i mean garemgolm who is green with a woody texture and uses mold could easily be a grass type. likewise, not all angry or mean monsters have to be dark type. and yeah thats my big ones, but i also want to give my changes to a few monsters Tigrex=normal; is suppose to be gimmick-less creature, someone that does the most basic stuff but is good at it. shagaru= dark/fairy; is a monsters that shines in the darkness it brings. kushala=flying/steel; is literally always describe with metallic like body and that controls storms to fly. ed is a treat level, not a species

Kushala still has a strong arguement to remain dragon type. Its one of the few elder dragons to actually use the dragon element (plus, its one of the most dragon-y looking of all the dragon types)

Seregios a violent flying Wyvern with Razer Sharp Bladed Scales. Yikes definitely don't wanna be in line of sight of that Wyvern anytime soon. Yet the most brutal part is that in Monster Hunter lore Seregios has fought a Rathian before on ground & in similar vane Astalos the Electric Wyvern of the Fated Four has down a Rathalos in it's home turf the skies.

Thinking on it, Gold Rathian and Silver Rathalos could have Poison touch as hidden abilities. Rathian tail is filled with poison and Rathalos has the same but in its claws, so it fits. In addition, perhaps the Risen monsters, Giasmagorm and Malzeno could all have a shared ability tying them together in the form of Berserk. After all, they’re all in a state of madness and fury. Likely in the form of Hidden abilities/Replace Swarm

Malzeno was already a tough Elder Dragon, well that being a Vampire Dragon and all however though things take a drastic turn with it's own variant Primordial Malzeno. Right off the gate this Elder Dragon is by far the most toughest monster to fight in the game, Primordial Malzeno no longer rely on the Quwro nor Arch Demon of The Abyss

Daimyo Hermitau- I’d change it to Water Rock and give it Solid Rock for its hidden since it’ll be a more defensive Monster Shogun- I like it Bloodshaten- maybe Prankster as its hidden since it’s such a good ability Arouracanth- I thought ice psychic is good but ice fairy is better, nice thought Astalos- keep levitate and add compound eyes since if you look closely it actually has eyes like a dragon fly, also giving the hidden Anger Point would be good too since it’s so mad all the time Seregios- maybe fighting flying instead and make rough skin a hidden and use limber as another ability Magmadron- earth eater is a good ability, never thought of that especially with a fire rock type Espinas- you made some good points with the typing so fair enough Pyre Kadaki- sounds good Gore Magala- honestly I think Dark Aura is the perfect ability for it and pressure as a hidden Shaggy Magala- fairy dragon would suit it better and maybe Fairy Aura to be like the opposite of Gore with Pressure as its hidden Garangolm- it’s perfect, maybe sheer force as its hidden too Lunagaron- maybe tough claws for its hidden Malzeno- for this boi I think a unique ability called Qurio which would heal him a little for every contact move is better suited for him Gaismagorm- Dark Ground is better suited as he’s an evil entity and comes from the earth with pressure or Qurio as its ability. Dark POISON is infinitely better for it with Merciless as its hidden instead Flaming Espinas- it’s good enough Violet Mizu- I’m sorry again but this is my least favorite varient, especially since thunderbubble Mizu would’ve been so much better. Anywho water fire suits it much better without the dancer ability and flame body instead Chaotic Gore- Darl Fairy to show how it’s half Gore and half Shagaru, with either dark or fairy aura as its ability and Berserk as its hidden or maybe even Defeatist Velkahna- snow warning is good and ice scales I never thought of, but Glaciate as its hidden perfect Amatsu- yeah you right All risen elders- Keep their original typing but giving a new ability which combines their original ability and beast boost to keep them stronger than other elder dragons Primordial Malzeno- Steel Dragon since it’s supposed to be like a knight or Paladin. All the abilities sounds great however Not sure if you’ll read this comment but it’s basically my opinion also. Astalos isn't actually a bug by any means, similar to lurantis, it simply mimics an appearance of that of a bug to draw in prey (he's a literal bug zapper). There have even been cases of mother astalos eating their freshly hatched children after mistaking them for vespoids. I'd simply give astalos the electric/flying typing. I'd replace levitate with electromorphosis.

The sad thing is Espinas is the only Thorn Wyvern to be represent Monster Hunter Frontier & sadly aside from Espinas having a variant I don't think Capcom is planning to bring back some Frontier monsters into a new Monster Hunter game. Not even the two Lost Black Dragons that appeared in Monster Hunter Frontier & Monster Hunter Online prospectively

Not a terrible list, I have my own list of Monster types though: Diamyo Hermitaur is Bug/Water, yeah crustaceans are removed from insects but they can still be bug type not to mention bugs are rare in MH and it fits, definitely give it ground and fighting moves though. Blood Orange Bishaten is fine, Fire/Normal works well and given grass moves it is good to go. Garangolm is an interesting case since it has a lot of possibilities, my opinion is Grass/Fighting as it actively incorporates plant life into its body and combat moves, however it should have something to reflect its ability to apply elements to its attacks, either a new ability that gives it Fire/Water typing after a certain condition is met or just increased power on punch moves with the appropriate elements. Aurora Somnacanth I feel should be Ice/Psychic, the whole siren lulling sailors to their death and their association with hypnosis and the originals sleep. Shogun Ceanataur is similar to Hermitaur but I think given its built in scythes and more aggressive combat style justifies it being Bug/Fighting type. Lunagaron is an interesting case since it’s very much werewolf based but I think I have a good idea, Ice/Ghost- this ties in to the moon as an opposing force to the sun in life and death and the almost cursed origin of Lycanthropes, this will actually tie in nicely when we get to Malzeno. Astalos is comparatively boring, Electric/Flying and no bug typing because it is only superficially bug like, definitely gets bug moves though. Seregios is a fairly straightforward option, it is always considered the most aggressive and territorial of the Flying Wyverns and regularly gets into fights with Rathian and Rathalos alongside having its body lined with literal Bladescales, Fighting/Flying simple as that. Magma Almudron is a monster I almost forgot about, luckily it is pretty simple, Fire/Ground since it is obviously very hot and Almudron is more about moving pliable material than solid rock, this is even embodied by it uses lava waves and churned up earth rather than flaming rocks other lava monsters tend to. Espinas continues the trend of very easy to determine monsters with Poison/Fire, it’s toxicity incarnate and uses a flame to burns in more ways than one, interestingly though it has some heavy rose motifs so while I don’t think it should be grass type it should get grass moves. Gore Magala sets a trend we will be seeing for a while with the frenzy monster family, with that in mind a had a few ideas but eventually settled on this, base Gore is Poison/Dark as ultimately I felt like the virus deserved the Poison part and its whole maddening effect suited the Dark typing. Malzeno gets the listed Dark/Dragon typing, it is good and fitting but I wanted to talk art in particular because of how this ties in to my version of the Three lords who are supposed to have an important connection to each other in the story and design but ends up just being their movie monster motifs and Lunagaron having a turf war with the others. But by doing this I actually gave them some traits that affected their matchup, Garangolm is weak to Ice and unable to use its Fighting attacks against Lunagaron who can chip at Malzeno with ice attacks but is easily overpowered with the Dark typing of the later who suddenly finds themself on the backfoot when confronted by Garangolm’s fighting attacks making them feel somewhat connected and not IMPOSSIBLY one sided as they can all hit each other with neutral secondary stab attacks. Shagaru Magala is up next with its Poison/Dragon typing and as the master of the frenzy it can be primarily poison type while it reveals its true form as a Dragon type, yeah Psychic and Fairy are cool and I wish I could have incorporated them into the line but not all hope is lost just yet! Here we get to the final boss Giasmagorm, and my idea here is a little strange- Dark/Ground, you see while certainly destructive and demonic it certainly isn’t the personification of a dragon despite its class and likely ability to learn Dragon moves, but it IS principally a burrower and given its story and mythological inspirations imagery of rising from the Abyss I feel like Ground Type is justified here. Next up in the postgame is Furious Rajang and its a doozy, the normal variation is primarily a physical brawler that gets amped up with electricity so Fighting/Electric while this one starts off powered up making it Electric/Fighting even if its raw prowess increases as well. Scorned Magnamalo is the final monster in the base game and I decided to put a little spin on it, while the normal one has multiple types it could fit with I went for Ghost/Dark and Scorned COULD still work with that one of the most noteworthy changes it gets is when pushed far enough it can turn its Hellfire gas into Dragon element, so I decided to make it Dark/Dragon to put emphasis on it “unlocking” its draconic powers while still being the absolute bastard Magnamalo obviously is and providing a separate comparison to Malzeno which is also neat. And that’s every monster in the base expansion, I will probably come back to fill in the title update monsters, plus things like abilities and movesets but for now we have this!

Gore Magala was already dangerous enough & Shagaru Magala was already a threatening beast as it is with control of the Frenzy Virus but Risen Shagaru Magala is a hole different monster. Risen Shagaru Magala is such a powerful Elder Dragon that not even The Arch Demon of the Abyss could control this thing & in turn Shagaru Magala takes command of the Blood Afflicting Quro for itself, that pretty much tells you that hunters will be in for a rough fight.

Animatronics from Five Nights at Freddy's Machines from Horizon Units from Brütal Legend Slimes from Slime Rancher Neosaurs from Exoprimal Unit Machines from NieR: Automata And that's about it......... For now

I find it funny you want more variety in the Varients, when several of the ones you listed & like aren’t Varients; But Rare Species. It all has to do with the Monster Hunter team’s definitions of what is what. Varients being literally just a stronger individual of a species through unique means ( Furious Rajang losing its tail, Savage Deviljho being extra hangry, Raging Brachydios gaining the Flashpoint Slime, Primordial Malzeno not being infected by the Qurio; etc.) Subspecies being certain species of monsters adapting to a new environment / lifestyle ( Coral Pukei Pukei living in the Coral Highlands, Glacial Agnaktor & Tidal Najarala adapting to the Tundra & Frozen Seaway,etc.) { sadly some subspecies should be classified as Variants: Black Diablos being a female regular Diablos in heat, Emerald Congalala being an Elder Congalala, Baleful Gigginox apparently being a birth mutation!, etc.} Rare Species are basically a rare subspecies that have incredible power & are often sighted in secluded areas like The Tower. Silver Rathalos & Gold Rathian, Lucent Nargacuga & Violet Mizutsune are all under this banner. Deviants are one of a kind individual monsters that have adapted to the harshest extremes the world has/had to offer, without becoming a subspecies or Variant, usually differentiated by their normal brethren by having more pronounced body parts, colorations & WAY more powerful attacks! ( Redhelm Arzuros, Soulseer Mizutsune, etc.) Sadly when it comes down to it; the Apex monsters of Rise are basically the watered down versions of the Deviants. One major enjoyable pain; imagine doing this What if Monsters were Pokemon? But with MH GU’s roster! That would take forever!

Hmm... I cannot help but question what you would do you Ah-Tal Ka and Ah-Tal Neset. Would they be two separate beings, or would you actually give them a unique ability that, at say 50% HP, Ka would shift into Neset? Or make it wilder where the shift is at 75%, but at 25, it shifts back to Ka with a more impressive statline at a critical state?

Yikes Magnamalo is not the type of monster you wanna cross paths in dark forest & if you think that normal Magnamalo was terrifyingly dangerous with its Hellfire ability well This Demonic Beast variant Scorned Magnamalo will make you turn tail & run away without stopping
