Cynthia is probably the only character where I can say that I both respect and fear her. She's one of the most kindhearted and intelligent people in the franchise, but that only makes her strength in her fights that much more intimidating because she doesn't ACT like it. She doesn't carry her strength on her sleeve, but she doesn't hide it either. Rather, she shows it in different ways like with her vast knowledge about the Sinnoh myths, or her clash of philosophies with Cyrus in the Distortion World. She shows that she's as strong in heart as she is as a Champion, despite us never actually learning that until we finally face her. By the time the final standoff happens, we're not facing the Champion that's been hyped up the entire game. We're facing a friend who's been to heck and back with us, while also demonstrating the strength in battle that reflects her personality, her kindness, and her desire to learn more about the Sinnoh Region. Platinum tells her story, and it all comes together in the finale serving as one of the most difficult battles in the series. And it couldn't be a more fitting way to end it.

Back in the early Diamond/Pearl days, barely anyone had even seen a spiritomb at all prior to her champion battle given the long and confusing side quest that was needed to encounter one. It was a completely unknown pokemon that caused many of us to say "what in the hell is that thing?" when Cynthia threw it out first. Needless to say it left quite the first impression on us and she had five other heavy hitters waiting their turn to wail on us. The fact that her first pokemon had zero weaknesses at the time meant that practically nobody was OHKOing it in a single turn, while it could in turn KO a number of your team before you finished it off. Her team was just perfection and stands as incredibly memorable to many of us who were used to sweeping through champion teams like most gym leaders. The fact that some of us still suffer from PTSD when hearing that piano intro stands as a testament to how powerful of an impression she left on us and why we hold her as the champion that every other future champion in the series gets compared to and quite often are found lacking. Her character design was just the right amount of mix between beauty and toughness that appeals to many people. No other champion has the same amount of player respect (and maybe fear) that Cynthia does and that is a credit to how they made her so memorable.

Cynthia, I love her, I fear her but above all, I respect her. She always leave an impact whenever she shows up in a game. Games be damned, I think she’s the most powerful champion in the series, way above Leon (I like Leon, don’t make me say what I didn’t). Among the champions she's one of the only ones that has any information of a backstory which is similar to our journey. She also has quite a lot of depth with her strength only being the outer shell. For example she has several hobbies, she has at least in anime views regarding Pokémon, she has reasons for why she likes what she does etc. In Pokémon she's one of the most explored NPC's in Pokémon.

Eh? If you were online during gen 4 you knew about IVs and EVs. I dont know about the "average player" since even now the majority of players won't be in the fanbase, but they were known about and discussed at the time. Funny thing about Garchomp's speed is that may be why she lost the world tournament. Mega Garchomp is severely slower than normal. Archeology? Not myth study? "In the anime, where she gets the most development" ah you mean her most awful incarnation where she openly taunts grieving people and then has the gall to talk about bonds? Anime Cynthia is nasty, and I feel like her game self would be ashamed. This video needs a lot more talk about Diamond and Pearl Adventure! You only bring it up briefly at the end! But how Cynthia interacts with Mitsumi is fantastic. She notices that Mitsumi, who's hiding her power, is a "real contender" and tries to encourage her to show her real self. This leads eventually to a battle at the league that's so overpowering that the lower levels of the stadium need to be evacuated! It also ends without a clear winner--they fought to a standstill. Considering who Mitsumi IS (she's more than a Dawn expy that's for sure), she's been hesitant to show her true strength, and Cynthia's enouragement brought it out. Also, not a word about Volo? Interesting. I know she was popular long before he eas s thing but i feel part of why her popularity continues to grow is that now her family is built up on and some of her ancestors are shady as hell. (Also Cogita may still be alive somewhere and that's hilarious)

Ash returns to pokemon Horizon almost confirmed , if you all know the last episode of pokemon Journeys when Ash was leaving Pallet Town , he was followed by Team Rocket. In the beginning of Pokemon Horizon we all saw team rocket meeting pokemons from Paldea region like Fuecoco, Sprigatgito ,Quaxly ,Koraidon and Miraidon. Which means If Team Rocket is in Paldea region, Ash will also be part of Pokemon horizons.
