I used to work for Aburi-En/Tamgo-En before it closed down in Novena. I can tell you , they take their quality of the food seriously.

@@chuachua-hj9zd well disclosure but that's how business works. If that outlet isn't reaching a certain target; losing money rather than benefiting they close. You can still find them in many areas that are still doing well.

Hi Ghib-san, actually tori-ten can be found in Oita prefectue (e.g. beppu)! The food looks really good though

Favorite place for me has to be Dosukoi x Donpachi at Cuppage. Really good for and drinks, especially highballs and umeshu

Aburi-en and Tamago-en are both from EN group, so the quality is up there. Never had any bad experiences from their restuarants

T.T aburi-en has this iberico pork jowl that is to die for. I dont like pork, but that taste… mmmph. Also different outlets has different quality. So far, JEM in jurong east has solid quality so far, and the chef is japanese (at least during the time i visited).

Aburi-en at J8 is horrible, I get the beef stew on rice. The stew is weak with tiny meat and carrots. The highball was bitter. This branch don't have sushi. Worse food ever eaten.
