haha this "Singapore hour" video style is entertaining. It's funny to see how this show can adapt "Japan hour" into our local context. Do check out Bedok 85 market, a popular dinner/supper spot with satays, ba chor mee, hokkien mee, sting ray and your usual hawker fare! Also Simpang bedok, with some cafes, Indian food like roti prata etc. Different vibes! The market and hawker centre at Block 216 (next to Heartbeat) is also bustling in the mornings! Hi Ghib, are there equivalent heartland areas like Bedok in Japan? Would love to see where and how the locals live!

I'm taking note Ghib-san, because I like to travel slowly and away from the usual routes. Finding out what the locals eat, and where they go. In addition, if only city planners from where I’m from would pay attention to how Singapore and Japan plan and improve cities, we could learn a lot from them. Great video. Cheers!

Very nicely done👍 Yes, the famous chng-teng at Bedok Corner👍👍 It's okay not to like the durian. Even some locals avoid them😅 You guys were indeed very lucky to be able to go all the way up the 'royal' block to enjoy the fantastic view 👍 Taking the air-con double decker public bus is the best and cheapest way to enjoy the scenery without the heat! One of my favourite pastimes 😊 Thank you so much for featuring our neighbourhood towns and interacting with our locals. ❤

for durians as a starter maybe try out red prawn or 101 as it is more towards fruity sweet taste. msw and black thorn can have that bitterness which not many new eaters can accept as it suppose to be very intense in flavor together with bitterness
@LVPictures4 ай бұрын
6:30 FYI the uncle you were talking to is a Sikhs. Traditionally in their culture they don't cut hair hence you will often see them as a turban. They are even excuse from the hair cut of Singapore national service. Not sure if Sikhs will feel offened if you ask them to cut their hair though, maybe someone can fill in this gap. But i do see those who are more modern who choose not to keep their hair long.

You have to come back in the night to fengshan 85 market for the supper crowd! (Alternatively, bring a change of clothes and shower stuff, go to east coast for a swim or cycle , shower there at the pubic shower / toilets) , then head to bedok reservoir for very good hokkien mee, then of course, supper!!!!
