Comparing that to the newer Battlefields where people are jump spamming into slides constantly and can launch themselves away during firefights with grappling hooks and wingsuits. I played this game again after the April test in 2023... Uninstalled it after two games, unfair and unbalanced abilities that turns the skill issue argument into ash. Like, how can you tell that someone can heal themselves, see you through walls, send a spider after your ass and make stun grenades in COD look better. These meat riders keep acting like there being no sbmm means the better game, while I don't disagree with that, these guys also sweat casual like it's ranked. It's not going to be the Helldivers 2 of the FPS genre, I'm sorry to say, but it's not!

@@armanromana1580 The hero shooter mechanics and abilities are arguably the worst part of the game (minus the netcode/hitreg). The stupid abilities are either really difficult to counter (spider bot, self heal) or impossible to counter (firebomb, wall hacks Echelon). This makes it really annoying when you just popped off on a nice streak to die to someone at the bottom of the scoreboard who firebombed you on the objective while you were holding it. I do enjoy XDefiant enough to play it a for few hours here and there, but it’s not my favorite FPS.

Oh, I forgot to mention the daily challenges not tracking. I just got finished getting 31 kills using the ACR and I need 25 for my daily challenge. Only 6 kills counted out of my 31 total kills. I was destroying using the acr getting full kills. I know I also got 3 grenade kills and 5 pistol kills but I should definitely have more than 6 AR kills.

I played the last tech test and I just felt like people were just lying about the game. Saying that the movement was some of the best, no SBMM, and felt good to play. When I played it, it was nothing but the sweatiest of sweaty rounds, leaving mid match just to find myself going up against the next CDL tryout… I feel like they have recently ever since they said something in their blog post about SBMM in COD it’s been more chill, could be just me but it feels nice to play. Then the movement just felt off the entire time I was playing, it just didn’t feel right. At the time I said it was like siege movement, but it’s actually worse than that… It’s sad because I want a competitor to COD to light a fire under their asses and make good games again. MW3 is a good multiplayer game (I’ll never forgive them for that campaign though) and is a step in the right direction, I hope it keeps going that way. But yeah, XDefiant just isn’t it sadly.

They need to just scrap the hero shooter element all together and go with viable kill streaks. Did they NOT pay any attention to Battlefield 2042? The fact that I'm nearly every single comment online, this is the 2nd biggest gripe behind the desync and hit registration issues, yet they refuse to listen, makes me think that this is going to be a MWII situation all over again. I've been feeling like that since last September after Mark went AWOL and only FINALLY responded to anything after 7 months of silence when Tom Henderson released the article with inside Intel from disgruntled Devs. That really put a bad taste in my mouth. Then to pay it this weekend, thinking that all is the issues would finally be cleaned up only to discover that LITERALLY NOTHING AT ALL had changed, with all that time to fix it during the delay, 100% confirmed what those disgruntled employees were saying. Now we are hearing that they scrapped everything that the have worked on for the past 6 months and went back to the same build we played in September that had so many issues. Why the heck did they do that??? All of it! I honestly want to see them swallow their pride and show us what the have cooked for the last 6 months because it sounds like the actually added kill streaks and the things we have asked for. We were given a copy and paste of the same thing we played in September and it's not looking good. Truly makes me upset and sad.

3:16 Please stop saying CoD has SBMM when it doesn't. It has EOMM (Engagement Optimized Match Making), which is so, so much worse. Overall skill has nothing to do with it. The matchmaking in CoD goes off of recent preformance and either throws you into ultra sweaty lobbies or into a lobby of bots, more often the former. It's specifically designed to keep you playing while also keeping your KD at as close to 1.0 as possible. Calling it SBMM instead of EOMM is exactly what Activision wants because their EOMM system only works if players don't know just how much it's manipulating them. That said, honestly, if XDefiant can fix it's netcode and gets consistent updates, it does have the potential to rival cod simply by not having EOMM. Rn tho, it's nowhere near that level.

Game has many issues. I don't think that net code will be fixed, it's probably the same peekers advantage as it is in R6... Another thing that it's bad in this game is wasting time... I checked that I have only 50% time spent in game while playing... Long time to search a game, long time to load, annoying 30s pre/mid/post round breaks... They should honestly cut those annoying breaks and make faster matchmaking ... Last thing is aimbot(console) players... Really annoying, when I noticed when someone was killing me too much, too fast, often while jumping... yeah they were console players... Aim assist is insane in this game...

Me personally the only issue I have with the game is getting shot around a corner but everything from the movement and gun play is enjoyable and I’m loving this game

You can never made something “like” CoD and beat CoD at it. Like you said they’re having problems CoD solved 14 years ago. Innovation in terms of a game mode or mechanic is key. Like Fortnite with the battle royal + age demographic change.

I enjoy the game enough to play it for a few hours here and there, but it is definitely not ever going to be considered my favorite FPS. The abilities and hero mechanics absolutely suck some of the fun out of the experience for me, especially on some of the abilities that cannot be countered whatsoever (firebomb, wall hacks, instant self heal). I really think the ONLY truly casual FPS left is Battlefield. In a game with 64-128 players, there can never be EOMM or SBMM, meaning that you have 5-10 really good players on each team, 25ish average players, and 5-10 low skill players. Everyone gets to play against a variety of skills, and there are many ways for players to contribute other than getting kills (support, medics, vehicle drivers, pilots, gunners, etc.). Yes, 2042 did introduce some “hero” mechanics, but they have fortunately gotten rid of most of those over the course of the game’s lifecycle. There are absolutely sweats (I’m probably considered one), and the game has a skill gap, but it is not a competitive shooter by any stretch. Overall though, Battlefield really is the last truly casual game that nearly anyone, regardless of skill level, can hop into and find something to enjoy.

Only valid thing you said was the net code, it is like COD is paying all the mid yt channels to hate on the game. You didn't even increase your fov and you're a mf gta content creator. Do not find you as a valid source on FPS shooters

I enjoyed the first beta as it was during the same time period as mw2 it was good with barely any bunny hoppers or sweats in the server test i actually felt like they implemented sbmm or something as i been getting into matches where most of them are jumping bunny hoppers and when they are on my team they start to do crappy also plus they removed the echelon due to a bug issue so thats a plus but other the abilities are way too bullshit and broken especially the shield

Honestly it's knock off version of cod this hilarious I have a friend who says it's good I told her yeah you have fun with that she's still mad at me. Also no good story in xdefiant which is the Main thing. It's like GTA with God Mode 📳.

I think the game is free to play and I personally didn't have a problem with hit detection.. It gives us another option of something to play.. This game will get better and better

Movement is awesome but whats not ok is that your inputs like shooting the sniper get blocked but things like crouching and than your gun shoots after the animation finishes... it feels so bad... and the abilities are just annoying as fk... unlocking guns is to easy but lvling guns is such a boring grind...

The janky movement, animations and aiming turned me off already. The stupid abilities were just topping on the cake. I had way more fun with MWII than I'll ever have with this. It feels like whenever ubisoft tries to copy something it becomes the same but worse

The problems people have including just about everything this guy has complained about, happens in EVERY game. Stop hating and actually want it to work out. They are doing everything the people want, stop riding COD like it’s a great game 💀 the hit reg is also one of the best in any game right now. Even if you have 200 ping you still never miss if you hit them. Those people who have those issues, usually have problems ON THEIR SIDE. If you lag, your shots won’t hit. If you have bad connection, you will not hit. MW3 is half decent this year and people are simping over it now lmao. They also have a ranked system that everyone loved before and when it gets changed around people get mad. They have literally made a new game to make fans happy. Sorry for the rant but when they do stuff that people actually want, people get mad. Not only that but they want the game to be amazing so they delay it. Unlike just about every COD game that didn’t wait and be patient and mess up. MW3 is only popular now cause it is the ONLY real option you have for shooters like this.

Its funnny that one side just wants straight gunplay like old cod. And the other side doesn't want heavy emphasis on shooting or gunplay and want og overwatch before they tried to appeal more to the shooter audience where your abilities mattered more than landing headshots like it does now. And the gamung studios think they can appease both at the same time like nah you cant, yall just gotta make seperate games that target audiances instead of trying to slap everything into 1 game to capture everyone 😂
