The likelihood of a person who is ultra weathy not serving the same sentence as an average person committing the same type of offense proves the Justice is neither balanced or blind.

Not always. Having a high priced lawyer is always a huge and unfair advantage, as is formerly playing golf with the judge's wife and whatnot. But sometimes the bigger they are the harder they fall, like Phil Spector, Weinstein, Cosby. If she won't plead, I think the full weight of the law will descend on her, and she will not be a very sympathetic figure to a judge or jury.

@Abe Froman I hope not. Not that she should pay for Epstein's crimes, just her own, but I really hope she spends the rest of her life in an ill fitting uniform behind bars. I think most of her assets will be frozen, because it seems that they are the fruits of crime (her father's and Epstein's), not from any legitimate source. Her whole house of cards will tumble.

I firmly believe that Ghislaine Maxwell's motivation was to please Jeffrey Epstein in order to stay connected to him. She wanted to be his romantic partner as well as remain in his elite social circle. To maintain her relationship with Epstein, she was willing to harm young girls--with callous indifference. Maxwell's behavior mirrors that of someone who has antisocial personality disorder (a person without a conscience). Maxwell is not very attractive physically and she has not aged gracefully. But she is the type of woman who will do ANYTHING to have a man in her life. These two factors gave her the incentive to destroy others in order to have Epstein in her life. Hopefully she will remain in prison so she can't harm anyone else. I appreciate Dr. Grande's analysis and the interesting information he points out.

@@mackiceicukice Exactly my thoughts. I think she has aged very well. I also think had she not met Epstein she would not have been willing to sacrifice the health and welfare of these girls. I think she was willing to do anything to keep him. She grew up in a very dysfunctional family, which doesn’t excuse any of her actions, but may account for a desperate need to seek and keep the “love” of a life partner. I can’t remember a convicted female sex offender who was single. They have all been in long term partnerships or marriages. Fascinating but very sad.

She’s 60, I think she looks very good for her age. Obviously she had low morals to steal 170 million from her own fathers company. Sad that money and power is so attractive to some people that they would sell there soul to just be around it. She had opportunities to do so many positive things in the world but instead this will be her legacy.

When l became a pre-teen on into my young adulthood, she warned me (about MEN, mostly) to be careful, they can drug your food and you wake up in another country, not even remembering your own name. You attract the same people in your life, she likes men similar to his father, she’s done so much to prove she’s worthy of being married, just like how she needed to prove to her parents that she’s worth of being seen and loved. All of these insecurities made her who she is and kept her from paving her own career, and being independent. I think she’s wasted her own talent and connection.

One that is currently in prison for her offenses and another that was not prosecuted for her crimes due to being found incompetent to stand trial. Both women were sexually abused as children and both witnessed extreme domestic violence as children, both were also sexually assaulted as adults. It would be interesting to see if Maxwell has a trauma history and or a history of witnessing abuse as a child.

Now that's another load of CRAP, because they're definitely keeping her somewhere & they're gonna tell no truth as to where she is, because if she dies then they might aswell just shut down & retire every agency going after Epsteins supposed suicide. When you have that many Billionaires wanting you dead at any cost then you're getting hid somewhere extremely secret & secure, & ain't nobody gonna risk it for a few pics or footage of her. Tell them she's in this Newyork jail, when she's really in a top secret military jail getting watched so much and so close that if she breaks wind extremely silent, an alarm goes off ffs 🤷‍♂️

I'll help a little. Read my "essay" above. Yes, the clue is probably in her childhood. Her mother could have been the abusive one or her father? A relative or friend? What I see is a woman who wanted to see young girls suffer, maybe as a substitute? Maybe, to satisfy her jealousy? Note that most of his victims were blonds. She was acting out either way and her participation could have been to prove her loyalty, her need to have a man in her life so she could face, prove her place in the upper social circles that Epstein craved for his client victim pool. Study the Karla Homolka case and the Rosemary West Case. The female can be more deadlier then the male but usually not. Remember the Elizabeth Smart Case? If this is your degree? Please catch up. :) I am sorry to say those are just the tip of the iceberg. Jealousy, hatred, control over a male by only giving him what he wants if he meets her demands, oh, so many twisted reason why some women will do anything to anyone to get what they want. They murder, rape, sell their babies for sex, money or drugs. You picked a great profession. Be prepared.

Sad to say, but "some" people in the economic stratosphere see others as being way beneath them, as dispensable "nothings" to be used, abused and disposed of after they've served their purpose. That Maxwell would procure underaged girls for Epstein's use and abuse, and that these girls were, by and large, from disadvantaged backgrounds, seems to confirm that she thought them of no value or worth.

As we know now she is guilty. I can't imagine any of our review courts letting her off. I suspect we will see the Supreme Court or even an Appeals Court finding the prior immunity agreement "unlawful" and void. The court will weave a legal construct supporting such a finding. Before sentencing she will either talk and give up the people involved thereby making a deal with the DOJ or she will die in prison.

Very good analysis there, thankyou. After reading everything possible about Ghislaine, I have come to believe that she was more than daddy's little girl. I think her father sexually "groomed" her from a very young age. He would tell her how special their secret little bond was, that there was no shame in this special love (abuse). I believe this to be true, as she seemed to be a natural at 'grooming' these young girls (where did she learn this behaviour?). Also, she is clearly intelligent. It seems her behaviour was ingrained. She chose Geoffrey as the things they did were also 'special' and 'secret', much like the bond with her father. She always thought this kind Of abuse was normal. I believe she herself is a victim who's sick relationship with her father is the cause of her denial, despite the long list of victims all recalling very similar memories. I think the justice department needs to be looking into this relationship she shared with her father.

I do think that Jeff Epstein funded her lifestyle and she was beholden to him. “Jeffrey gets what Jeffrey wants” she had to do his bidding to keep her paycheck. She probably justified it by saying to herself that she’s actually helping these girls our financially and making their lives better than they were before. She may have been her narcissistic father’s favorite but she also learned his ways early on. Use people for what they can give you.

@Lauren Rogers That information is slightly misremembered, onision constantly talked bad about shane over the the years, obsessively. But he never said a peep about shane being a pedophile. Only when someone in 2018 posted a video that went viral calling shane a pedophile, was onision all of a sudden breaking down how shane is definitely a pedophile (he made big claims against shane all those years but never called him a pedophile) I'm not biased against shane being innocent or guilty, I just don't want people to misremember onision's role.

Very timely, Dr. Grande. If her father embezzled pension funds one could speculate that he was high in psychopathy, machievelianism, and narcissism and that she had pretty poor modeling for decent human behavior. Interesting that Oxford confers Master's degrees in socialite 😳. That is almost as bad as the husband hunting degrees conferred in the 50s. Maybe the plea agreement wouldn't cover cases in the Virgin Islands, Paris, and the UK?

It would be interesting to understand more about what kind of father Robert Maxwell was. He came from a Yiddish speaking family, with 6 children and was a refugee from the former Ukraine/Czechoslovakia, joining the Czech army in exile at the age of 17. He won the Military Cross in 1945. Most of his family died in Auschwitz. After the war he went into business as a publisher in the UK, and along the way he had 9 children, and became a Labour MP. He once said "[as an MP] I tried having male assistants at first. But it didn't work. They tend to be too independent. Men like to have individuality. Women can become an extension of the boss." How would such a person regard a daughter? I don't think even if he doted on her that he was a good dad. He had a reputation as a domineering bully, a risk-taker, he may have been a spy, he was a fraudster, even though he had become rich. Although there might be no 'diagnosis' of mental disorder in Ghislaine Maxwell, she may not have at all a normal sense of right and wrong, and her relationship with Epstein, whether girlfriend or just friend was not normal either.

Dr. Grande: there are more than 5% of women that are like this when you consider all of the women who have undergone counseling because their mothers turned a blind eye when their fathers were abusing them. It goes on in many families. We just don't know it's happening. It could very well be that a young girl continues to enable other men who are like her father while she continues the role of her mother as an "blind eye" and thinking it's all "normal" because this is how she was raised. The patterns and behaviors continue even without a husband/wife relationship.

Gail, I think you are right. Well, the thing is it has to be the right combination. My father would not give into our mother's sadistic nature. Her pressure on him to beat his children leading to her beating on him for not complying, led to their divorce. Then? She found the man she was looking for. A sadistic criminal to act out her fears and fantasies. Sadly for her? I spent a lot of time with my grandmother and loved to read. Even if some of that was motivated on my need to out think the enemy. You are right too that my mother tried to make me accept the abusive behavior as normal. I didn't believe her and I took a lot of torture trying to fight back. Again, I think you also need the right victim/child to get away with it. People vary a lot in how far they will allow the abuse to go? Or? They murder witnesses. I think Epstein didn't have to murder his victims because he had been bribing people in Florida. Basically paying protection money to keep from being prosecuted. Using sex too might have been how he paid off some officials from prosecuting him. Since we know families tried to have him arrested but they refused the victims. The percentage of people who become perpetrators or enablers? Might be higher but if I could go through all of the hell they put me through? I believe it still isn't common but it is too much. You either go one way or the other I imagine? You become hypervigilant , permissive or a perpetrator. Yet? You do not have to be abused to develop a liking for different levels of abuse. Lust, revenge, jealousy can all be the simple catalyst leading to this kind of behavior too. We do know of at least one or two of Epstein/Maxwell's victims were recruiting other girls to be raped. To say they didn't know their fate? Sorry. Not buying it.

Very interesting, and I know at this point her trial had not yet occurred, but I'm surprised you didn't cover a few more things in more depth. 1. The effect of her father's shady life on her, and his subsequent "drowning"/suicide/alleged murder. He apparently was involved in many shady business dealings, and stole millions in pension fund $$ as you pointed out. So its likely that her father was a "do anything to get richer" type of person. He may have made many enemies, and likely had people working on his behalf engaging in fraud, theft, and other crimes. That obviously involved his own family, as she had siblings charged with crimes. So this is at least a deceitful, manipulative and criminal family with a "win at all costs" type of attitude. I've also read that Ghislaine was his favorite daughter and he purchased a yacht for her after she graduated from college. So based on what I've read, this woman was probably spoiled rotten by rich Daddy, and given virtually anything she wanted. Surely that alone would greatly affect her personality. Then you add on Daddy's mysterious death. They claimed it was an accidental death, Ghislaine claims he was murdered. If he was murdered, that means he may have pizzed the wrong people off. Either way, the loss of her father at a relatively young age surely would have greatly affected her. Did the loss of her rich Daddy cause her to seek out another rich Daddy that could keep fueling her lavish lifestyle? It's interesting that she met Epstein shortly after Daddy's death I think. Or did Epstein research her and seek her out for her $$$, and/or her "groomer" role. 2. The allegations are that G.M. scouted out and brought minor girls for J.E., and subsequently threatened them with violence if they didn't cooperate. Did a socialite elite woman like her have violent tendencies, or was she herself being threatened and told what to do by Epstein? I thought you would have gone into more detail on this aspect. A plausible defense may have been "I was forced by Epstein to recruit and groom these young girls, he threatened to kill me etc if I didn't do what he wanted." Apparently, her defense was simply to deny everything, but she didn't testify on her behalf. Also, I am fascinated by the Epstein-Maxwell relationship and how that developed. I was hoping you might have known more details. It sounds like they met in elite social circles, and she was not only rich, but maybe rocked his boat in bed. She was an attractive woman, so I have no doubt they were romantic/seksual together probably for years. But at some point it must have turned into an open relationship, and then it turned into a grooming young girls sex trafficking ring. How does a woman like GM get to that point? I would have liked to hear more on that aspect. 3. Also you never talk about her secksual desires. Was she bisexual? The charges say she participated in JE's acts. I don't know if that meant she was there helping to control the victim physically, or she participated in the criminal S abuses of the victim. I'm guessing this was BOTH of them participated in the S acts, but she wasn't charged with them. I guess maybe with JE death, they might be harder to prove. Is it rare for a woman who is Sxyally attracted to girls to forcibly sodo-mize them? I just can't imagine a grown woman of this background hanging around schools and child camps as one charge alleged to procure 14 year olds to bring back to "Daddy". 4. You also didn't mention the fact that Prince Andrew allegedly met GM while she was still in college. We all know about the myriad of allegations against him. Was that pure happenstance or was that PLANNED by Daddy? The coincidence of being involved with another pedo--- is just too coincidental. I agree with your end summary, while I think this woman is truly evil, I do think the arrogance and the entitlement of the rich and powerful is the prime factor at work in all this. But what befuddles me is why this woman KEPT doing JE's grooming for him EVEN AFTER HE WAS CONVICTED in the 2000s!!?? Was she that much under his control or just that dependent on his wealth and power? Or was she also a woman who also desired young girls and enjoyed all this? We'll probably never truly know.

So rich people are intimidating and on a higher level. Of course she always got away with it. She just blames it on Epstein. She enjoyed turning those girls into slaves because its the only way Epstein would pay attention to her. She enjoyed tge power she had over the girls too. Its so gross to imagine the weird orgies described by the victims. Like, why spend your time like that? If you're super rich then why not find another boyfriend and get some hobbies and travel? She did this a lot like a job. Maybe she was doing it for money too. Where is the line between arrogance and victim for her? That's the jury's predicament. You have to look at family history, and nobody knows if her father's death was accidental. This man was involved with serious people and they were all involved in some gruesome things. I believe in that world, her father's death would have left her vulnerable, bitter, and scared. It seems like people who have too much, and never enough, always have to raise the bar, to get a thrill from anything. They are sent to boarding schools after being raised by a nanny, often having distant relationships with their parents. On top of that, in the UK at least, they are exposed to brutality in the form of blood 'sports' from a very young age, along with goodness knows what other dark experiences. Although the activities of these people as adults is vile, I think it's important to understand how they become what they are, if we are ever to find a way to prevent it.

I have fallen down the rabbit hole that involves Ghislaine, Les Wexner, and Epstein. It is just so unbelievable that any of it could be true. Evil in plain sight, and with big power.

"Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Idk who said this, but it is true. Epstein had great wealth and absolute power over the powerful because of their secret double lives, which Epstein had proof of in abundance.
