I love the comment about "mood" because this video is 100% all about the mood I was going for hahahahah. Truly, thank you. Welcome to GW2 and to Thief! I reinstalled GW2 about 5 months ago and it's been my main MMO for about 3 months. It's quite an adjustment from WOW, but I honestly believe GW2 has the best PVP of any live MMO available. So, the reason Thieves can TP and still be able to execute is because channeling in GW2 is a little different than in many games, and stealth is as well. In most games taking damage will break a channel or stealth, but not in GW2 - you can be stealthed while still taking AOE damage, for example, unless you are specifically revealed, your stealth won't break even as you take damage. So there's several ways to use that to your advantage- for executing or stomping, you can stealth to begin the stomp or even finish it, depending on how you enter stealth and the duration - and you can also begin your stomp channel, Shadowstep away, and before the stomp animation finalizes (you will see a channel bar) - you can Shadowstep back, finishing the stomp. This can help you finish a stomp against a target that has a hard CC or interrupt in down state, as well as being able to finish it without the threat of someone stopping you by interrupting you with a melee based CC. You can also use stealth defensively or to support a downed teammate - if you use Shadow Refuge over a downed ally, for example, you can stealth them interrupting enemy stomps and allowing you to probably rez them to full - or, if you know you're about to get downed for sure, and you have Shadow Refuge available, you can drop it at your feet before you drop and rez yourself or almost entirely rez yourself from stealth - you can see this in action in the 2nd Ghost video I made. It can be a little nuanced and it can sometimes be the perfect play or the wrong play depending on the game state lol. Let me know if you have any other questions! I'm still adjusting to GW2 PVP as I said, but I typically play for at least a couple hours every day at a minimum. Enjoy!

@@KryticalError Waaw. What an answer ! Thank you very much for your patience and kindness tho; it was my only question atm, I'm an old mmo player as well, so don't get me wrong, I may be new to gw2 but I'm not gonna ask for some babysitting :p I'm not on point yet mainly because I struggle to stick to a class, most of them are so sweet to play and truly unusual.. At the moment I'm swapping in between my dragon hunter (open world and story mostly) and my core engineer (with which I WvW). I also added a thief and a warrior in the equation (thief lvl 70 and warrior 65 atm) and still looking for my last toon x) Holy if you could do this kind of video with an engineer.. (whatever the spec) I'll be eay too high to even give it a like :3

@@Fejhz Hahahah cheers man, any time. I've got several videos planned - honestly, I'd love to make a video for everything in the game. You're 100% right - classes in GW2 are mind blowingly unique compared to most MMOs - especially WOW. Add weapon swapping and diff talents - totally new ballgame! I have to learn how to play everything still myself lol. I have everything at 80 but Rev, most of which have all been leveled simply through doing WvW and using the XP books. I'm sure some people would think that's not the best idea to play well, but I just don't like leveling, especially as a solo player for the most part in GW2. I actually started messing with my Engi for the first time just in SPVP the other day doing a little Sword/Shield Holo - I had almost NO clue what TF I was doing, but SUPER fun anyway lol.

@@KryticalError Yeaaah the weapon swap ! It's literally the cherry on the cake ! Add some toolbelt and kits and it becomes amazing. At no point you can get bored with this kind of stuff. Unfortunately I don't have enough spots yet to have all the different classes so I'm really pushing each class with my slot to make myself a clear idea of the remaining classes, then I'll pick it up ! Holosmith (not tried yet) is probably the spec that interest me the less of the 3 atm. I may change my mind once I'll try it but honestly atm, core is my go to spec. Running P/P or P/Sh sometimes, with elixir gun and medkit as core utility. Mortar when in a zerg, and crate for roaming.

@@Fejhz Hell yeah! I'll definitely be trying to play everything in both SPVP and WvW. My WOW guild would always laugh at me for my lack of ability to focus on just one character for more than a month - that's another nice thing about GW2. Even though you can grind for Ascended gear and work on legendary crafting and stuff, you don't just constantly have the hamster wheel in front of you - I still love WOW but man, is GW2 a breath of fresh air. your keybinds seem like fun, but what do you use to move and strafe?

I have a pretty odd set up. I play with a Razer Tartarus, which is basically a Razer branded Nostromo, if you know those. The basic keybinds I use are weird WOW keybinds I made 16 years ago and just never remapped the keys - even tho I probably would map them more normally now. So the movement keys are the bottom row +1 on the Tartarus, the ability skills are just mapped around the movement, and I use the little D pad for my utility skills, and then I have the F key for the ultimate ability. I couldn't use a normal keyboard for gaming at this point lol. I should probably remap the keys for videos on the off chance someone is trying to see what I'm pressing hahah
