Thanks for the feedback on my editing style as well. I appreciate the input. I know my editing style for montages is love or hate for a lot of people. But this is how I edit, and there are an absolute ton of players who upload footage without any editing at all. This is what I enjoy and I would rather do my own thing, even if it means it is a love or hate it style. But again, I truly appreciate the feedback!

Of course if someone is locked down already you can do a lot of damage with it, but the dash forward is definitely a useful catch tool, especially if someone trying to escape you only has so much mobililty. Plus the projectile block is nice, too. Thanks again!

Hey, thank you for the kind words, so right now, I would probably NOT play Greatsword in PVP or WvW as a solo roamer - I do think you could play Greatsword for WvW if you're in a group of any size. I think the issue with GS as a solo roamer is it's a very slow weapon. It can hit like a truck, but in WvW you're going up against a lot of Willbenders, Thieves, Mesmers, Harbs and Necros who are usually running pistol or 1hand Sword. These are all fast specs and fast weapons. GS can feel a little rough as a solo VS these. I'd recommend trying 1h Sw or Pistol / Dagger or Pistol / Torch. If you're running a power build in general, Fireworks will probably do fine!

Sorry for the delay in response. I forget why that happens. But I think if you just weapon swap and then weapon swap BACK to the Greatsword, you should unlock those skills. The only other thing I can think of is maybe you still have to train the Reaper traitline to unlock all the weapon skills, but I'm not 100% sure. Let me know if weapon swapping fixed it for you!

Welcome to the game my friend! Great question. So yeah, you can definitely play PVP with Reaper. Condi Reaper is very, VERY meta right now, and you will see at least one Condi Reaper in almost every single PVP game, ranked or unranked both. I'm currently in mid-Gold and there is always at least one (usually I am one of them lol) As far as outnumbered, you can technically fight with any class while outnumbered, how successful you will be has less to do with each class or spec, and more to do with your own ability and the ability of the players in the match or in WvW that you are fighting. I have a beginner friendly deep dive guide on Reaper on the channel and may actually do a 2024 update on Condi Reaper VS Power Reaper, but I have lots of content that I am already working on.

@@y_x__i It's a fair question, but honestly for PVP, I haven't touched Greatsword on any Necro build at all in either unranked or ranked gameplay in a long time. It used to be my go-to, but there are just so many better options now with basically every Necro weapon being available to every spec. I still think it is VERY cool and very fun in PVE, but I personally can't see msyelf running it seriously other than to test it for people asking about it. I am working on a new Necro montage right now playing Reaper, Harbinger, and Core Necro. I plan to have some gameplay commentary videos uploaded around the same time whenever I get the new montage up. Cheers my friend!

That's a great question, and for PVP - honestly, no. But, in this video I do mention how I think a build that utilizes a lot of shouts that you get access to as Reaper utilities may eventually be strong and is worth keeping an eye on - and Condi Reaper using shouts IS currenttly the best / meta Reaper spec. I have been doing solo ranked games and have been filming them all, and plan to make a PVP mini guide around the current meta Reaper build. I do think GS Reaper can still be a lot of fun specifically in open world content, tho and maybe WvW, especially when playing in a group!

It seems like a lifetime ago now, well, because it was.... but I can remember my very first PVP encounter in an MMO ever. My adrenaline was going so crazy just from getting ganked that I can remember my hands being shaky. It was like that for a while, but the more and more I did it, the more and more I was able to keep my body from reacting that way, and my mind and body are now very calm even when desperately outnumbered, whether I die quickly, survive longer than I should, or win outright. That first PVP encounter was over 20 years ago tho, so..... that's a lot of time and practice PVPing in different games lol

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words! So I actually have been experimenting with Power Reaper and Power Harb running dual swords. I hate to say it - the off hand sword is not the best, usually. You're better off with a Focus or Dagger - with that being said, I did film a LOT of clips trying to make dual swords work, and I got some nice clips. I'll be uploading a montage sooner or later with those clips and the builds in it. Yo! Thanks for checking out the video and dropping a comment. I'd prefer not to characterize other players negatively, but you're right in spirit, they don't appear to be very experienced players. I did actually talk about this in the closing segment of the video, and that outnumbered situations in which a solo can take 2-4 players out or survive long enough for back up are generally skill gap situations. That being said, I don't control who's in any match or in any roaming situation, and I've beaten rank 1 players on this build and the other Harb build I run in one of my earlier Harb videos, as well as other high ranked PVP and WvW players. So what I can control are things like my own mindset, approach, skill use, etc. I get a lot of questions in game and on Discord on how to fight outnumbered since I do it frequently in videos, so, here's this video. I do understand your meaning, tho. This is an unranked match. I'm personally in low Gold currently with about 20 games played. I'll be posting some full ranked matches eventually. Cheers

@@reddingblood1467 I play a lot of Division 2 for the PVP, even tho it's nearly completely busted and often just not fun - I just love that game more than I should, and of course I PVP or WVW in GW2 multiple days a week. I have also played a good bit of Titanfall 2 and Destiny 2 over the years because the PVP in those games feels so good. Destiny 2 is so grindy, tho.

Late reply, but is there a reason you use Aristocracy Runes? you don't have any main sources of Might do you?

@@Chronologix Really fair question honestly. No, there's no baseline Might in the build in this clip, and the only Might generation is from Ambition. However I do run some hybrid builds and even power builds where I'll run Blood is Power, Risk, and Ambition - granted, mostly for the memes, but I rarely spend the time to min/max runes and relics for every build variant when not playing ranked, tho I sometimes try. I still mostly run the Aristocracy relic in PVE and WvW, but again that's more laziness to not feel like min/maxing than it is a diehard belief in it being the best option. It's just easy to maintain uptime in PVE and WvW. In PVP I mostly run whatever's meta or cloest to meta for whatever build I'm playing, which, right now is Lynx + Demon Queen for the Condi builds I play.
