Edit: Day 48 was Halloween meaning that if normal time progression applies in the ghost house that means day 75 will be November 27th and day 1 was September 13th if I did the math right.

So here's my headcanon: The guy, whom I'll nickname Jake, used to work for a huge company until it went bankrupt. After becoming homeless, he decided to live in the absndoned business building until a gas leak occurred, and now he's constantly hallucinating and daydreaming about ghosts and sh*t. My alternate headcanon is that after Jake lost his job, he got super drunk and wandered into an abandoned mansion one night and woke up in a pocket dimension that's inhabited by the titular ghosts.
