This was back when developers could take chances with games. I miss the ps2 era where you really had no idea what a game would be like and was often pleasantly surprised by how good a game was that only you and a few hundred people have played.

I've been saying it for years: This is a legitimately solid PS2 game, even without the benefit of the franchise attached to it. For fans of GitS, it's got a great voice cast and a neat little story, as well. A lot of people are still sleeping on this one, which should keep the prices from becoming too insane... for now, anyway!

It's a lot less polished and a lot more, well badly designed, but it's definitely an interesting experiment about Cavia trying to profit off that early 2000s DMC/Bloodrayne angst (even tho Drakengard would have been perfect for that) and there's some fun to be had from its jankiness

Watch the movie, then the 2nd movie Innocence. Stand Alone Complex is basically an alternate version of the world with slight changes but the same characters. It's still very good. I can't speak for those post-SAC series since I heard they sucked and never watched them. What might confuse you about Stand Alone Complex is that there are two movies that are just compilations of the two seasons of the show. Solid State Society is the only original SAC movie.

You have to force yourself to watch Ghost in the shell the first movie. Than force yourself to watch stand alone complex part 1 and part 2 Don’t expect an emotional roller coaster, it’s more of a Vibe. To me where the show really shines is to put it on late at night and enjoy its scenery and world building.

10:40 The Buffy the Vampire Slayer game for the Original Xbox is really good at accurately portraying Buffy's canon power level within the game. Buffy's increased strength and combat ability only put her at a level with her supernatural foes and its one of those combat systems where basically everything you can do to the enemy, they can also do to you - if anyone plays it I definitely recommend playing it on the hard difficulty. It's a really underrated, really really good beat-em-up game with some occasional horrible platforming.

If you're talking about the _first_ Buffy game on Xbox (Not the "Chaos Bleeds" one), did you know that there was a 2-player option? If you have two controllers, a friend can control the enemies. It can be a lot of fun, and if you're playing Buffy you control the camera - Which can lead to hilarious frustration...

I bought this game because I was really into Ghost on the Shell, and played through it just once, there isn't much about this game to suck you in to replay it. Looking back, I wish the developers had leaned more into the superhuman moving and fighting aspects of the game rather than the "run & gun a bit of clunky platforming". The following generation of consoles gave us Mirror's Edge, which would be a terrific point of reference for a Ghost in the Shell game.

Love this dude. Even when he has something negative to say, he focuses on the positives while doing it. He should be present during peace talks in the middle east or something.

I had this game and it was really cool. It had its issues with controls sometimes, but it felt like if I was playing through an episode of the anime.

2:51 “As we all know wall jumping make everything better”… yes, yes it does. Great, concise video on a great game, thanks. Now brace yourself for the inevitable comment storm over your pronunciation of “Tachikoma.” 😄

This game is fine. I love GitS and the game fits into its world so well. I like it, but also understand the middling reviews

Bought this and Devil May Cry 3 with my 1rst paycheck. Cavia's Resident Evil: Dead Aim's one of my favorite game's ever. It's so bonkers yet earnest.
