I had a PS2 with a matrix chip, one day my father grounded me because I messed up, but when the weekend came, he let me play again and gave me a copy of Driver 3, I simply loved the game, I played it all the time, I explored the map like crazy, my ps2 had a bad reader at the time and I couldn't play GTA, and the driver appeared to be my darling of open world games, unfortunately over time the driver dvd 3 stopped working, but quickly I bought another copy of the game, and whenever my copy of Driver 3 stopped working I bought another one. Because they were pirated copies, they tended to spoil easily. It got to the point where whenever I went to buy a new copy of the driver my parents would say "Are you going to buy the driver again?", And I happily answered "yes". How I miss that time.

This game was such a slap in the face to bond fans, Eurocom was perfectly capable of making good games and this should have been a celebration of a legendary series of films but no, as ever corporate greed had to result in this mess and Eurocom died because of it. Bloodstone too is a pretty great game but it never had a chance because of corparate mismanagement, absolutely terrible😢

I played this game while trying to play every Far Cry game in existence (I still haven't played weird FC1 ports, or Arcade game). Like a lot of J2ME games it had multiple versions for different phones and resolutions, I tried a lot of them and could distinguish 3 major versions: - The "Simple version", for lowest resolutions from 128x128(!) up to 176x220 and very simple graphics. - The "Better version", with various set of features depending on a specific version for specific phone (like touch input and character selection) and overall better graphics (resolutions ranging from 128x160 to 320x240)). - The "HD version" that has cutscenes, but not touch input (for 176x220 and 240x320 resolutions) It has been a while since I played these so some info might not be 100% correct, but I have wrote some notes.

Have you ever heard of “Calling” for Wii? I used to be obsessed with it as a kid (cosplay, fanart, etc) and I feel like no one’s heard of it. The graphics and control style of this game remind me so much of it. Ghosts call your cellphone in game and it plays through the wiimote speaker. I used to think it was soooo creepy. I was about to infodump and make this comment 10 times longer but just know there are so many interesting things to find and while it’s not the best horror it’s a very interesting game.

Middle school, October. Had to attend my sisters elementary school presentation, sitting in the crowd with my friend. I whip out my flip phone cuz I’m bored. That day my parents said I can get a cheap phone game, I download FC2 because I love that game. Beat the whole flip phone game by the time the presentation is over like an hour later. Great times ❤

For me, it was backwards. These games got me into the movies it was inspired by: Vanishing Point, Bullit, The French Connection, Driver, etc. now I'm obsessed with the genre because I was obsessed with Driver + Driver 2 as a kid. I'll always adore them.

7:12 I think it's supposed to look like a PS1. At least, that's what it reminds me of, with the big circle in the center for the CD tray and the two smaller circles in the corners for the power and eject buttons, all placed on top of a rectangular shape.

I tried hard to like Godfather 2 but it felt cheesy and inferior. Mafia 3 is surprisingly a lot like the original godfather and could be a spiritual successor.. which made a lot of people mad because it was supposed to be a Mafia game :p

LOVED playing Police 911 back in the day at my local movie theater & definitely played Mocap Boxing as well. I get wistful whenever I see a movie & that machine is no longer there. This might be a Mandela Effect but I remember seeing a listing for Police 911 for PS2 in an issue of EGM or Game Informer growing up & wished I had a copy...

Minimme check out Bit Mutha Truckers on the ps2, it's not very good in the most traditional sense but I think you'd find it enjoyable to talk about, in some ways it has shockingly modern and forward thinking sensibilities for a game from 2002

God I still love this damn game. I grew up playing Mercenaries on Xbox and still regularly listen to the soundtrack while playing other games like Mech Warrior 5 Mercenaries. Its made by the same composer of "The Incredibles" movie soundtrack by Pixar. I still have the game disc I had as a kid and even a little cheat sheet for inf Health and Ammo, Money and even still remember some of the codes by heart. I always played it with cheats for fun as a kid and stealing every helicopter I could, even the Jumbo Helicopter that the Russians use to drop off tanks. You have NO idea how many tries it took to snipe the pilot and steal the Jumbo Copter without it blowing up! Man I wish this game series would get a Remaster or Remake like Destroy All Humans did, but with current War Tensions going on between the Russians, Chinese, and even North Korea vs South Korea nowadays, I don't think well see a remake for a very long time. So far Backwards Compatibility on the 360, XBone and maybe the New Xbox what ever its name is, is all we have to rely on for now. Unless Emulation works fine on PC. Still, I love this game.

man, i remember playing that at the New York, New York Casino arcade in Las Vegas. i might be mistaken, but i feel like they had the sequel at one point, but it wasn’t localized. they also had Mocap Boxing, and i remember enjoying it.

Am I the only one who couldn't even figure out the health bar until about halfway through the video? It being on the left side of the screen yet also going from left to right was already a choice, but the color changes were so subtle I hardly noticed the difference!

Good job on a thorough review of this game, it’ll be helpful to newcomers. It took me a lot of work to get this game set up on a North American ps2 and I still have mild aim calibration issues, I think bc I’m playing the Euro version on a USA tv but it’s still fun. Can anyone confirm if the Japanese version of this game is compatible with any cameras other than the Capture Eye?

This is one of my all time fav games, I got it on ps2, was pleased to see it re-released on pc. But I felt something was off, but still enjoyed. Just last month thanks the the excellent work of ps2 emulator on Android, been playing some of my classic, tell you what it was amazing loading this up again. Really got into it on my phone, enjoyed it so much, I setup ps2 pc emulator and playing it on that. I don’t know why, it just feel better. Very odd. But real classic, so wish they did a squeal.

I remember my biggest disappointment in this game was the removal of the film director as it was the biggest thing I spent endless hours messing around with and making short car chase videos.
