Hey, you did a fantastic job with this presentation. I own a Nina and it's been difficult to describe to friends why it's so great. You've done so well at that with this post. Yes, the effect, filter and oscillator options sound great, but they aren't really groundbreaking. They just sound like really good analog. The true innovations are misunderstood by many synth shoppers. The importance of parameter memory per patch is unprecedented, alone. Adding the ability to morph between two is still brand new. Now with the ability to automate the Morph, I'm extremely happy with the investment I made last year. Thanks so much for a thorough, yet succinct review of what I think is the most innovative synth since... I forget what the first polyphonic synth was, tbh. Great job! Do Osmose next :)

I also want to back up your opinion about the price. The instrument is built like a tank. Its stability rivals anything I have (for example, the OB-6 which was about the same price). PLUS it's an analog synth that remembers where you set the knobs per preset and per layer. I don't know of another that does so. MUCH BETTER than taking a picture on yr phone to remember. I don't think they should lower the price, honestly. Being an early adopter helps this company stay in business, which they should. And no, I don't work for them.

When I was just a pup analog poly synths cost as much as a luxury car. Some as much as a house. Even the price of the "cheap" DX-7 cost half as much as a new Yugo. The whiners today do not know how good they have it. $3,600 is half a DX-7 adjusted for inflation.

Great Video. You really concentrate on the important features of NINA, while still giving a nice overview. I totally agree with your opinion on the price, value for money and pioneership by Melbourne Instruments. Thats why I bought it 😊. The filter could be more versatile, but the user interface is simply unique and imho the best there is on the market, for a hardware synth.
