Hey guys! Jin has realized who the killer of his father is. This is brand new Ghost of Tsushima content, regarding the new Director's Cut Iki Island expansion. So far, it's pretty cool.
Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4.
Featuring an open world, it follows a samurai on a quest to protect Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. The game was released on July 17, 2020. A Director's Cut edition of the game has been produced and was released on August 20, 2021 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Jin’s journey begins when he discovers that a mysterious Mongol tribe has gained a foothold on Iki. They are led by a revered shaman called Ankhsar Khatun, known to her followers as “the Eagle.” As both a khatun and a shaman, she is not only a conqueror of nations, but a shepherd of souls. And the danger she presents to Jin and his people is unlike any they have faced.
The only way to counter this threat is for Jin to return to Iki Island. He’s been there once before. And in confronting a new and dangerous enemy, he will be forced to face old fears, and unearth deeply buried traumas. As you explore a new island and battle new threats, you’ll also delve into the dark past of clan Sakai…

the absolute raw emotion in this scene is crazy. when i played it and heard "may your death benefit all beings" i literally said oh shit and paused the game for like 15 minutes trying to wrap my head around what was going on

I will admit I think he starts off pretty one note but as the drama really kicks in towards the second half of the main story and in the DLC Jin definitely becomes a much more interesting and compelling character

In Masako's second missions. Jin and Lady Masako are talking about revenge, it was said "Lord Shimura hunted down the culprit" Honestly it seems a lie or maybe he killed some raiders that stole kazumasa equipments

Thing is why I like jin's character more is even though he goes through so much emotional rollercoaster and trauma , he never forgets what needs to be done and always prioritises the current situation above all else even in this scene we can see he was thinking about defeating eagle even after the big revelation of his father's killer

I wouldn't say it's a retcon per say, realistically it's very much possible lord shimura killed the wrong raider, I'm pretty sure they left stuff with Kazumasa kinda vague in the main game so they'd have breathing room to explore him in more detail in an expansion

Unless you have the "ghost of sparta" armor dye for the sakai armor you are forced to use the non-upgraded look of the armor, nicknamed "jin from jarikawa", wish you could tho
