I like how the difficulty in this game is fair and realistic. One or two slashes the enemy is dead but so are you if you're not careful. It doesn't make the enemies stronger and you weaker, it just means you have to play skillfully. Like a Samurai.

I do feel like there are a few little minor mechanics that don't quite work. The hostage thing is weird. The Arkham games, clunky and old-fashioned as they are at this point, handled hostage mechanics better. They used them as human shields, preventing you from a direct approach. Ghost just has enemies run to hostages, stand in front of them for a set amount of time, and then kill them. It's both frustratingly time-based, and not particularly believable behavior.

This wasnt sword combat, it was using almost entirely ghost tricks to make combat easier. Walk in, challenge the first enemy, then fight them all off using parry and dodge, like an honorable samurai. Way more satisfying.

These mythic skills are badass. Looks like 4 skills charge strike. Attack 3 enemies back to back, a 3 hit combo and a kurasawa esqus skill that in two kits can kill anything but only on 3 enemies. Plus setting your sword on fire is also a spectacle to behold. I want to play but no copies within 40 miles of me.
