I just explored the map and had fun by the 2nd mission of act 2 I had both bows upgraded and the katana and tanto and I noticed that when u do 2 side quest u get the gifts which is 100 supplies the game is so much fun no need to worry about farming .. thanks for the video

Well just play the game and youll eventually become strong roaming around, clearing the fog of war and camps. This game is not likely a hardcore game were you need to grind hard. Its more of a exploration and fun game

IMO I think all customization items, charms, saddles, swords etc. the difficult territory such as story locked armors I truly have no idea about. I mean the game on Hard isn’t exactly super difficult. But I do think it should still be remotely challenging come NG+. Maybe even adding a very hard mode. I’d love to say just give us every skill point we earned but that definitely would be making it too easy. I’m more speaking on the customization aspect I suppose. Hit springs and stuff like that would be excluded as I think we should earn and find those again. What do you think?

@Andrew Friend Use the right stances and having certain techniques as well as dodging or perfect parrying can kill the weaker Mongols in one hit with all those upgrades. Depends what region you're in. You can't one hit anything after the first region. At least I think so.

When they bum rush you in groups (especially on hard mode) there is normally 1 enemy that rushes ahead. It's normally the leader or a shield/dual sword enemy. When it's not the leader, use Typhoon Kick to knock them back into the rest and hit them with a Sticky Bomb while they're mid air. When it's the leader, aim a Black Powder Bomb over his shoulder. Either is enough to level the playing field. BP Bombs are tougher to pull off with regular enemies in your face because they can attack very fast but leaders have a slower wind up so it works out.

I always upgrade my tanto before the Katana, with that being said, if you find the charm of Inari as soon as the map opens up, then like you said, by the early part of the 2nd region, your Katana, Tanto, a bow or two, and at least your favorite set of armor from Act 1 or save the silk for the Gosaku's Armor or Sakai Armor. By the beginning of the 3rd region, I usually have everything but the last two Armor/Attire upgrades. Do a couple of ally missions and done really early in 3rd region with maxed out Legend and all techniques, health, resolve, upgrades, etc. That's the fastest I can seem to get Jin maxed out after 3 playthroughs

If you do everything on the 1st part of the island you should have the katana to level 5, the blade maxed out, both bows and the samurai clan armor maxed out. I also had some of my ghost weapons maxed out. Just wonder the world, quests, do side missions, liberate forts and kill everything that walks and you should be fine. Make sure you have the charm that gives you extra supplies, wood and linen

In the blood of sutra you go to a faem,you will find a chest and in that chest gives 3 steel,you can restart checkpoint just like the others and its a bit faster(its basically koshimizu farmstead in act 2

Tip: fully upgraded stone stance is the best way to kill the big guys. Just use the triple stab attack and do the rest by mashing square

All I did was do everything in the first half of the island, yes everything and I got full blade and katana. Ez pz, even without the shipyard glitch so yeah, just put one effort in the first island and you’ll have more than enough resources to max up to 10 armour pieces and techniques by the end of the second act.

You can basically sell all Bamboo, Wax/Yew Wood and Iron/Steel for tons of supplies BUT only do this when u have fully maxed out Bows and Katana/Tanto... ;) U only need Supplies, Leather, Linen & Silk for upgrading amor sets.

Problem with this is that by act 3, the enemies catch up in power, and you haven't lead to learn to effectively dodge, parry, or cope with lots of enemies at once. Its best to keep the game challenging and learn the hard stuff, or act 3 will be a real chore. Even the stand-offs get hard.

Smart! For me I love to farm, especially when the game makes it so fun to do so. I can totally see how doing what you suggested is the smarter play and makes perfect sense, but let me ask you this question, and please understand I mean no disrespect when I ask: doing the respawn instead of going out and exploring to get the supplies you need, to upgrade as soon as possible, does it take away the fun out grinding? For me when a character and story are as good as what we are experiencing, I get lost and developing Jin to a bada** samurai is the best part. Here is an example: the first dual with the straw hats in act two I wasn’t ready, I should waited and because of that I got destroyed and it took me forever to beat him. I then knew before I went on I needed to grind my a** off. When I had my next dual with the spirit I walked right through her and it felt awesome, like I accomplished something special. That’s why I would rather grind it out, even if it takes me an additional 30 hours. Again, I want you to know your suggestions (not just for this game) been a huge help. Let me know what you think, would love to hear your opinion. Sorry for the long post, I thought it would be a good topic to discuss. Thanks!!

True this game reward you so much for exploring that doing the chest glitch is going to hinder your experience because you will no longer feel good after clearing camp and getting supply. Reason behind this is after getting max weapon early game it's going to make enemy super easy mid game and you will no longer going to care about looting supply and iron from camps . And game is going to start feeling like just an another AC game with meaning less side quests. However in the game like AC Odyssey I prefer watching this kind of videos because it helps me to skip braindead grinding.

Honestly, I didn't find farming necessary. By the time I made it to act II l, I had enough iron to get the upgrades I needed and had enough left over to sell if I was ever shirt on supplies. As long as you just clear the camps, equip inari's charm, and then start looting, you'll have more than enough.

Most of the “respawning treasure chest” tricks seem to have been patched. Open it once and that’s it. You can still do many side quests before act 2 and be near to or if you go all out, fully upgraded.

Tip: To infinite run without running out of breath. If hole running click on the touch pad to go into hearing mode but immediately press L3 to keep running. If you do it right you don’t stop running and it’s super smooth and easy to use.

Game is fun when it’s a bit of a challenge. It’s a lot more fun to just play than farm lol also bow is op once you upgrade your concentration and get the archers armour. You can easily one shot 90% of enemies.

I upgraded by sword to level 6 I act one before I went to the castle. I have one more upgrade left. I wanted to do all the missions in act one and get all the collectibles before going to the castle.

I got 2 golds when I stopped some dudes on the roads, they supplies gave 5 x steel, 2 x gold, 3 x iron So maybe it's possible to get the katana on max level in act 1

Jor, where do I find new color for the Sakai Armor? I saw there's a merchant that sells them at the castle at the begining of act 2, but now I cannot enter the castle. The gates are shut.

You can buy them at any merchant in Totoyama.

Totoyama has another merchant. There is also another merchant called Black Dye Merchant somewhere in act 2 zone and he sells black colour for it. Like... Fully black.
