Hokkaido may have been a place where criminals fled to Japan at that time. Hokkaido was an uncivilized land for Japan, and the Ainu people lived there. In 1603, the Sengoku period came to an end in Japan, and the Edo period began, when the Tokugawa Shogunate unified the country. The following year, in 1604, the Edo Shogunate ordered the Matsumae Domain, whose territory was in the northern area, to monopolize trade with the Ainu. This was the beginning of a difficult road for the Ainu. The Ainu, who had gained wealth through trade with various places until then, were not only hindered from trading freely, but the Matsumae Domain only offered unfavorable trading terms to the Ainu, and the Ainu people gradually became poorer and were forced to work in harsh conditions. Perhaps she is portraying a person who rebels against the Shogunate's cruelty. How did she learn martial arts? Why is she wanted by the shogunate? What world is she aiming for? You will gradually find out the things you are curious about. Another problem is that the voice actress of the main character is a strong LGBTQ activist. I don't know if Sucker Punch allowed her to join the company and be a voice actress. If it was just the voice actress, it wouldn't be a problem, but if it involves the story, it becomes a very troublesome issue and there is a possibility that the brand of this masterpiece game will be ruined.

This takes place in 1603 Ghost 1 takes place in 1200 so only Jin stuff would be a name drop or reference

seems in the japanese trailer she's called sakai atsu which would make her a descendant of jin sakai which if correct makes a nice tie in

@@jamespeak9653 yeah I can be certain since I don't speak Japanese but there's been people commenting on other reaction vids that in the japanese audio trailer the ronin calls her that and if so that would make a nice tie in if that is correct and it would also make sense to give that nod to the fans but untill it's officially confirmed who knows

Iki island was the dlc. Absolutely LOVE Ghost of Tsushima!! Only part I didn’t play was the Legends. Other than that, I explored every single inch of the game and found myself having a blast just riding my horse, journeying to new regions. I almost cried when my horse died saving my life in the game, and I’m a 46 year old man!! I didn’t even know that a sequel was in development!! This is so awesome!! Man, I’m now gutted that my PlayStation plus has run out. I now want to go back and do Legends and get my trophies to 100%

I don't really get bothered if we get a male or female lead character, then you got some dudes calling it a woke game because of that. I don't care and as much as I love the first one, then why can't this game get it too? I'll pre-order this thing in a heartbeat as soon as it drops. Also, I don't mind if Jin's story doesn't continue or maybe it will for this game, that's fine to me either way. The game isn't out yet so we can't just speculate conclusions by calling it woke because we get to play as a female lead character.

and again XD "GoT was one of my favorite games of all times" but never noticed what time it was in XD How is GoT everybodies favorite game of all time but nobody catches that the 1603 is 300 years after the first game haha. Not bashing, just amazed haha. Really looking forward to the game.

Prequel vibes??? Do you not know how to tell time.or remember the time setting of Tsushima which was 1274. Thjs is 1603 329 years AFTER Tsushima. Yotei is a sequel. Jin is long passed on Atsu is thr main charater
