Wild, I heard about them for the first time in like 2015 and hated their music when I checked it out. About once a year someone would tell me they were a band I'd really like and I'd say "I've already checked them out and didn't care for them, but maybe I just wasn't in the right state of mind so I'll give them another shot." It wasn't until I heard Cirice (which ironically came out in 2015, but never showed up on my radar) around the end of 2020 that I did a hard pivot on them. Once I liked one of their songs it was easier to like the others, and now they're one of the few bands whose albums I've actually bought in the last 15 years.

Im a die hard metalhead, borderline hipster when it comes to my metal, but I cant deny that Ghost puts out some damn good songs. Idc if theyre "soft" or considered "posers" by my fellow metal gatekeepers. They have a clear talent with songwriting and I'm tired of acting like they dont put out great music. Before I was a metalhead edgelord, I grew up with 80's hair bands thanks to my parents. Ghost feels like a modern day 80's metal band and had they been around back then, I think they would have enjoyed even greater monumental success. I genuinely enjoy when their songs come on the radio. Shout out 98Rock Baltimore.

@@jack_byrne_music Well Hunters Moon was MADE specifically for the release of Halloween Kills as a commission by Ghost. Forge himself even said he struggled to think up of something but remembered a song (I believe Blue Moon is what he said referring to Shanana) but he said he wanted it to sound more sinister and tie-in with the movies plot of a psycho protagonist so he made Hunters Moon as a result. CMLS was totally the companies fault though.

Your pre-choruses are just verses, your chorus is the pre-chorus, and your post-chorus is definitely the chorus given that it's repeated more often and literally contains the song title and main hook...

This brings back a lot of memories as if I had listened to this song back in the 80's. The thing is those memories never happened and I wasn't even born yet.

This album, Impera, was recorded in the same studio where most of ABBA's hits were recorded - fitting that this song and album overall has so much abba influenced songwriting:) this song in particular.
