Ghost Stories LIVE from Hawaii for May 29

Since Mid-March, Lopaka has been hosting an hour of live storytelling on Friday nights on his Facebook page, Mysteries of Honolulu. When we're able, we host on KZbin as well.
Master storyteller, Lopaka Kapanui, brings to life the feared Nightmarchers, the goddess Pele, Menehune, e‘epa, mo‘o and more. But… Hawaiian deities and spirits aren’t the only things residing in this island paradise. Here is also where the Japanese dog demons, the inu-gami, are sent to ruin the lives of unsuspecting families. Here is where the Filipino vampire-like creature, the aswang, roams in search of her next victim. And here is where the Portuguese witch, the feiteceira, spins her spells and curses at her whim. Rich in culture and traditions, these islands are overflowing with stories of ghosts and hauntings, creatures and curses. Lopaka is the keeper of these stories.
Beyond the cool, blue waters and balmy trade winds of our idealistic paradise is the thin veil which separates our world from the place where shadows talk back. Spirits, Ghosts, Legends, Facts... Experience the Hawaii most don't see every day.

After my oldest brother passed away, a year later on his anniversary, my bedroom filled with the smell of pork adobo,(a dish he loved to cook), at a little after 9pm that nite.. neighbors are a mile away, nothing cooking on the stove, n I was reading in bed.. it was a peaceful feeling..

My family used to live in Honolulu Hawaii back in 1996-1998. We were there when they filmed the movie Titanic I remember the Huge Titanic Banner on the ship 🚢 as you go inside Hikam base

Hey Uncle Lopaka!! Thanks for the Kauai story!!! All that area you spoke about is Legit!! The Mana there is intense!! Poipu beach all the way to the areas of "Barking sands" is very active! But Poipu beach is the area where the bones of Kamehameha's men were knocked into the Hyatt and Sheraton. You gotta go check it out!!

This is the second time I heard Kai’s story. It makes me tear up every time. I wish I could tell you my story of dying and coming back so you can know what the afterlife is like and what I saw and learned. That way you know exactly where Kai is. ❤️
