I totally agree !! I love introducing people to this movie, just as I do introducing them to the 1964 classic comedy "The World of Henry Orient", which is also about 2 teen gal pals who end up in wacky shenanagins.

Yes !! Much as I love this movie, I totally agree that Enid and her pal did have a mean streak..though (SPOILERS) Enid later repents and tries to do what she can to help Seymour. Her pal Rebecca though sadly never seems to change her somewhat bitchy attitude towards the people she considers pathetic losers.

@odeerg how was she able to tell that he was the guy that they tricked? Just because he was awkward looking, and that the ad was looked like it was posted by someone awkward? There are lots of awkward looking people around, I just don't see how she was able to so obviously see that he was the guy they tricked (and this is besides the point that he actually was the guy, I still don't see how she could so easily see it at first glance across a room)

As I do when I take off my hat, you make a good point ! The tune does sound generic. Plus, I thought "Wowsville" in the movie is a diner with a "50's theme"....shouldn't they be playing 50's music ??

@@jubalcalif9100 Yea the place markets itself as a 50’s diner but everything about it is modern, or dates back to the 80’s at most. That’s kinda the punchline of the joke lol. As soon as they enter the diner, Rebecca sarcastically says “Who could forget this great hit from the 50’s” while a Hiphop song was playing (in case it isn’t obvious, hiphop didn’t exist back then lol). That said im also interested in the songs playing in the background, i looked it up and unfortunately they’re not showing up on the “soundtrack” for the movie
