Seeing Egon Spengler, usually the reserved scientist more about smarts than emotion, lose it, shouting "YOUR MOTHER!", and charging ferociously at Walter Peck while the others desperately hold him back is still one of the greatest moments in this movie.

Everyone brought their improv A-game to the movie. Rick Moranis with his on-the-fly depiction of how Louis should move and sound, Bill Murray with his own brand of off-the-cuff schtick, etc. Half the humor comes from lines that weren't in the script but from the actors themselves.

Fun fact, the firehouse that the Ghostbusters HQ is set in during the movie is an actual Firehouse in new york. It's called The Hook and ladder eight. They even have the Ghostbusters 2 sign hanging up over the entryway for a long time. Recently the sign was damaged and some fans started to go fund me to create a new Ghostbusters 1 symbol to replace the damaged one. The goal was $1,000. Last time I checked the goal had been reached but that was last year during april. I don't know if a new symbol has been made or if it's even been hung up over the firehouse. Still really cool that they had the original Ghostbusters 2 sign from the movie hung up over the original firehouse.

@nickmanzo84592 жыл бұрын
Ray was always my favorite Ghostbuster because I identified with his excitability and energy, but Egon remains an amazing icon. A lot of newer viewers only say they can identify with Peter, and I never really understood why. Maybe it’s because he’s so front and center (because it’s Bill Freakin’ Murray) but even as a young kid, I never thought I’d any Ghostbuster as being lesser in service of the story just because they weren’t as front and center. Having grown up, I now know how much Harold and Dan contributed to the story, and although Peter is front and center, he’s only accentuating the ideas of Dan, Harold, and Ivan. Dan was the idea man, Ivan was the guy to reign in the chaos, and Harold… Harold made it funny. Without Egon, there would be no Ghostbusters.
