Good job Mike! Thanks for the honest review. It’s a Halloween cash grab. Game isn’t worth 10 bucks and Meta has no Quality Control. What’s worse is there ls a couple of big KZbinr who are going to rate this game as well as they rate every single game meta launch’s. Starting to wonder is these guys are on a payroll. Going to end up like Atari if they don’t stop selling crap like this at that price point.

I even contracted PC Gamer, IGN etc. No one even replied despite damming evidence. Corruption is standard practice in the VR content creator space thanks to Meta money.

Thanks for the straight up review dude! After seeing everything I've seen so far, this is just another live service shell of a game with promise of later content for more money. I don't know if I'm just growing tired of every game wanting me to invest all my time, all of the time, but I've seen a lot of live service forever games that never delivered on their season passes etc. This seems to be carried by it's IP, but I also noticed that the Ghosts looked more like Monsters than ghosts.

Just FYI, last week I bought GB Spirits Unleashed, (just out on Steam, on sale!) not expecting much, and found a quite decent multiplayer game that's fun and that stays pretty close to what I'd expect from a Ghostbusters game. It's a flat screen game, but they're already working on a free VR mod.

The ghost designs to me feel more reminiscent to the real ghost busters cartoon and I like the direction,but hope to see more variety with it. I personally would of liked a focused solo story akin to the 2007 ghost busters, with the online just there to play with friends or a phasmo type game of finding and capturing the ghost

Die hard gb fan here. I'm fine with the original cast not being in it as I assumed getting likeness licensing or whatever it is difficult. I like the RGB/Extreme GB style it has. The upgrade system is decent. But it needs more than 12 ghosts, 3 of which you see over and over and over again. More maps and more ghosts and I think itl win over more people.

Imagine this. They run with the characters from the 80's tv cartoon show. All the unlockable outfits and weapons are the entire toy range they brought out, like Screaming Hero's, Slimed Hero's, Fright Features etc. The ghosts are all from the show and toy line. Bonus Ghostbusting characters could include Louis Tully, Janine Melnitz and Slimer from the Fright Features range. Now look at this. As a huge fan this is just sad and disappointing.

One of the other big gripes is not being able to adjust the speed of smooth turning. It is making me sick because of how slow you turn with smooth turning turned on. This should be standard on all vr games.

This has SO much potential! How about solving puzzles with some stakes? Like maybe one person solves a door puzzle with science notes from earlier in a stage while the others try to catch ghosts that fill the room with slime and you have solve the door _and_ catch the ghost before you drowned in said slime? Or have branching paths, have one team of two go to one closeby location while the other two have to drive the Ecto-1 to a location further away and you both have to communicate to turn off the power to a building while capturing ghosts on the road. Heck, have someone play as Slimer and use his ability to phase through walls to check for booby traps up ahead but you also have to keep feeding him. It practically writes itself! 😂 But nah, zap ghosts, thats enough. 🙄

I think that there are so many older VR gamers out there now. You have resident evil, exorcist, blair witch.... why not go down that road for ghostbusters too :) Even the disney + goosebumps is more darker than ever... :) teens like to be scared a bit too.....

I would have loved a Phasmo-style mode where you have to determine the category of ghost in order in the first half to choose the best equipment with which to capture the ghost with in the second half. Ghosts would have different strengths and weaknesses so if you equipped the proton thrower instead of the slime blower or the gigameter instead of the PKE taser you'd have a much harder time capturing the ghost.

Starting to get really worried about why would any Quest 2 owner buy the Quest 3 right now. A title like Ghostbusters was revealed 2 years ago and was considered like a "big" announcement and here we are with an unfinished game with DLC ! How many interesting Quest 3 games so far ? 2 ? Maybe 3 ?

There was never going to be any reason to buy a Quest 3 if you have a Quest 2. All the big games are still releasing on a Quest 2, and most will continue to release on Quest 2 due to the larger player base.

@@leonkennedy3398 There has been no confirmation. People are only speculating that the Quest 3 will see exclusive games next year. But that entirely based on how well the Quest 3 moves this holiday season. But after this holiday, there is no further big release announced. 3rd party developers aren't going to dump the quest 2, its player base is too big. Meta next big first party release will probably be 2025 with Ready at Dawn probably announcing their new game next year.

I'm put off from this because of the gameplay theme which appears to be, wander around and stuff floaty creatures in a box. This isn't what the original Ghostbusters was about. There was far more character, humor and adventure in that movie.

I think with a patch for some options like smooth turning speed adjustments and content this game will just get better. You can expand that easy like the movie’s currently do. I wonder why they don’t, is there a reason. I am a fun of Ghostbusters. I can understand the absence of original team, but I hate the “fornite” looking characters, as you called them! This aspect shows you the target of the game, and at the same time that you can forget suspense, exciting ghost hunting, and all the nice mechanics present in the last PC game. Hey Mike. I have a suggestion for a future video please. And that's because everything I hear about the QUEST 3 makes me believe it could finally be the headset that replaces my original RIFT at that medium price point - except for one crucial thing. As I'm hearing from multiple VR Channels that the thing only lasts for 1 1/2 hours on it's battery (or there abouts?), and even with those add-on batteries it doesn't help much. So as a Sim Racer, I can race for 3-6 hours straight, so it's just not good enough for what I need it for at the moment. So my request is if you ever come across a solution where you could run it more as a long-term PC-VR unit, maybe using some sort of USB HUB & external batteries to make it last just an hour or two longer. I'm sure many people like me who are not interested at all in using it as a "stand-alone" as it's main purpose, would love to hear about a solution to run it more as that original PC-VR SIM Headset if possible?

I`m sure if you play using the link cable it lasts much longer as it is constantly recharging the battery. Just bare in mind that these non native VR headsets require the GPU to compress the image degrading image quality and performance (halving it in some cases). Personally I`m going to keep my rift-s until the Valve Deckard releases. Even a second hand G2 would be a better choice than Q3 IMO or the cheap DPVR E4.

Yeah, very good point about the G2, Decedant. But other channels are already saying that the "link cable" isn't helping with battery life as much as first thought? To be honest, the Valve Deckard would also be my preferred go-to as well. But I'm expecting it to be more around the 1,000-1500 US dollar mark (but one can only hope it will be cheaper than that? ; ). Thanks for the comment.

I think how to make the game better Randomle generated Areas maybe after missions you can go to maybe See Ray and go to his shop and get powers and maybe new equipment some of the ghosts from the Ghostbusters remastered game and maybe SumOf the old cast and now

Whenever people say a game is boring it's usually not challenging. Any game is boring if you don't ever feel like you're in danger. It just become repetitive. Challenge is the most essential part of any game.
