Christopher Landon (director of "Scream 7") is a pretty good filmmaker and he is friends with Kevin Williamson (he and Wes Craven created the "Scream" Franchise, he wrote the scripts for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th "Scream" Movies and he was an Executive Producer on both the 5th and 6th Movies). If Sidney, Gale, Kirby, and Detective Kincaid all return for the 7th Movie and they are the leads then I definitely think that Landon could still deliver to the fans a good "Scream" Movie.

I get a little baffled on people seeing Chad survived. The precedent was set with Dewey. There’s movies he never should have survived from his injuries but did. These two films are my favorites because of the chemistry Jenna and Melissa have together. While it’s fucked up what they did to Melissa firing her. I love this movie as an ending for them because Sam always turned her back on her darker side because of her love for Tara.

Trust me... people can truly survive the most crazy things. Look into to Alison Botha... gutted, partially decapitated with her head sliding off her shoulders and causing her to go blind when it did - she had to hold her head in place. She had to tie a sweater around her stomach to hold her guts in while walking several miles to a highway. She survived.

In regards to the Stu being alive comment, Scream 3's original script had Stu alive (in prison) running a Ghostface Cult. The script ultimately got canned because while the script was being finalized the Columbine shootings happened and Wes Craven didn't want to put out a highschool revenge plot movie right after that. But, that does mean that if they ever want to bring the idea back in some way they can. Also, with Chad being stabbed. People irl have been stabbed even more times then that and survived. For example there was a case about 9-10 years ago where a 12-year-old girl was stabbed 19 times and survived. The human body is surprisingly more resilient than a lot of people would believe.

The manner in which Chad was stabbed would have been fatal in real life. While people have survived serious stabbings in real life, most of them arent quite as deep as in these movies. People in these movies get stabbed in the heart, back, stomach, etc, and still be walking around even though many of them were fatal, although most cant really be replicated in real life. In one of the stab movies, one guy was stabbed through the forehead, something quite impossible to do in real life. Its hella difficult stabbing deeply through a skull, which is solid. In many cases with stabbings in the body, its not always easy to stab deeply, and its possible to miss vital areas in real life. In these movies, though, vital areas was hit left and right.

I the same as you didn't see that relationship between Tara and Chad coming. It was no build up. Also too many people survived this movie. Mindy, Chad, Gail and Kirby. I thought for sure Chad was finished. Given the recent news about the Scream Franchise, if this is last movie with the Carpenter sisters, it was a good way to end it. Offscreen deaths, getting wounded instead of dying, seeming to die but then showing up 'dying' - if these happen before the third act, there's something off. And if they happen during the third act, it's either the killer coming back for a final scare or one of the victims not dying for our comfort. :X

Now you're caught up with us, and so the wait for Scream 7 begins😅 Is there anything you'd like to see in the next installment, when it comes to originality (plot, type and number of GFs, their motive, victims and kills, the setting)? I myself wouldn't be mad if Sam slowly became addicted to killing-it'd be refreshing to see a main protagonist gradually turn into an antagonist. With Tara becoming the new 'good' lead and Sam the evil one.

Mad, the general consensus was that Scream 6 was better than 5 hence the box office & one I share. Radio Silence acknowledged the plot armour & stab logic & it was deliberate. In interviews they cited killing Dewey in 5 as enough of a reason to why they didn't kill any of the "Core Four" In terms of Chad being the new Dewey I find difficult because like you said that was brutal compared to any surviving stabs for Dewey in the franchise. I'm bitterly disappointed that Mellisa Barrera has been fired from Scream 7 as she was fantastic as Sam & with Jenna Ortega also exiting claiming schedule difficulties with "Wednesday" it proves Paramount are desperate to film & release another Scream ASAP. In interviews Radio Silence said they had little intention of going into a Scream 7 straight away & months later it was announced "Happy Death Day" director Christopher Landon was to direct Scream 7 but Radio Silence would stay on to produce. After Melissa & Jenna's exit no one knows what they might do & stupidly Scream 6 has convinced some involved they don't need Neve Campbell to return at all costs. It's all a little depressing 😕

This scream was the only opening GF revealed himself. My biggest issue w/ 5 is that Ritiche is soooo annoying to me. The biggest moment in 5 came at a price, losing a great character BUT it did give us stakes.

Spyglass got luck with their casting of Melissa and Jenna, but for the rest of the new cast, they feel very C or B list especially the killers. In Scream 1-4, the actors playing the killers really had star quality to them and that's just missing here. Spyglass needs to up what they pay these actors otherwise the franchise is going to fizzle out.

This was one of my least favorite Scream movies but there are no bad Scream movies. My Rankings are 1,2,4,5,6,3. So it’s my second least favorite. But I still like it. I don’t care if Sid deserves a happy ending, it just don’t quite feel like a Scream movie without Neve/Sidney. I’m so excited because next weekend there is a Scream 1 reunion at my local convention and I’m for sure getting a group picture with all of them (Neve, Skeet, David, Matthew, Rose, Jamie, and the guy who played ghostface in costume. It’s going to be epic)

Why would I google the movies beforehand? I didn't know he was the killer until he revealed himself in the movie, which is why I was shocked at the plot twist. I only knew that a character named Detective Bailey would die. I accidentally discovered this while editing my last video. In my Scream 5 video, I was looking up Detective Kincaid (from Scream 3) and while editing, I had paused it and saw "scream detective bailey death" in autofill. Please watch the video first.

I knew it was Quinn really early on - too much backstory about her brother, dad being a cop was too convenient, and by the time she died offscreen I was sure they were both in on it. I was never quite sure if the third one was Ethan or Danny (Ethan seemed too obvious tbh) til the reveal. I don't like the third act. It's messy and some parts are silly and clearly just there to give the public 'the feels' - Bailey runs at Sam while holding a gun that has bullets, she ties him up and stages a whole play instead of killing him ASAP, too many survivors, etc

Melissa proved she's a star with this one and having Kirby back was great fan-service. Now with the news about firing Melissa, disrespecting Jenna and Neve with salary offers, my rose tinted glasses are off and I just think 5 and 6 aren't great. The writing is cartoonish and the meta nature is so lazy, it's truly just characters verbalizing something an audience would say as opposed to being actual commentary about the genre. This movie in particular just didn't care if it made sense or not. "I'm a cop so I have access to dead bodies I can swap in and out"? What? I don't know why they had to kill the Quinn character as a fake out anyway, none of the characters seemed actually serious about figuring out who the killer was. They were all like 99% sure it was Ethan but they were still giggling with him like it was a joke.

The cops cartoony over acting and some head scratching moments took me out.like why did homeboy scream and charge sam with A GUN IN HIS HAND!!!????!!! WTF?? as soon as sam started charging him "boom" sams dead, but nahh....it was revolutionary war style "AHHHHH" charging toward eachother and the thing that annoys me the most is how avoidable it all was if the director gave enough of a shit..enough to tell dude "hey lose the fucking gun before we roll or else ul look like a fucking idiot!!"... simple af but nah he saw the non sensical loaded weapon n told him "hold it, like a knife while u charge eachother! Then again at the end he STILL HAS THE GUN, but rather than using it he instead just starts flailing his arms in the air n went "AARRRHHHH!" again LIKE A FUCKIMG IDIOT!!.. I blame the director tbh, at no point did he tell the cop actor "tone it down like 5 notches bro, this is not a parody film" or maybe he thought it was, atleast that would explain the horrible direction (or lack of, idk which applies here)..
