For all the promotion for this movie, Drew Barrymore was the face of scream so everyone expected her to be the main character and the final girl... She was also the most famous person in the film at the height of her fame so it was absolutely crazy to kill her off in the first scene.

Stu's suspicious as hell. From explaining how to gut someone, to telling dead girl liver jokes, to checking his head in the mirror at the locker after headbutting Sid the night before, to going for a beer and not seeing his dead girlfriend, etc. When he's chasing Sidney up her stairs, you can also hear him whisper, "Easy! Easy!" You hear Stu say the same thing the next day when Tatum hits him with a lollipop.

@@TheRubberDuck77 when i first saw it i was so convinced that it was billy that when his cell phone ruled him out and he got released. i went "welp. There's two, then" I was 13 and didn't think much further or harder than that, but stuck to the two killers and was right. (looking back, could have thought it out by how quickly billy was at the window and only was he was the killer and be at the window so quick was if there was another one Lol just made that deduction after phone records)

the principal didn't expel them for putting on a mask in a room alone in front of a mirror he did it for putting it on then running through the halls mock attacking someone who narrowly escaped with their lives from someone with that mask the night before. one day after 2 friends were butchered by the killer. i don't think he was really being hypocritical playing with the mask by himself

Another interesting thing to do is figure out who killed who. Wes Craven was always VERY SPECIFIC, making sure that there were always clues hidden around to show you who killed who in the four films he directed. It makes for a interesting party game.

I think the initial attack on Sidney was to scare her then he shows up to "save the day" so that she would sleep with him, instead she just see's through it, go Sid!! Also that scene after the first 2 kills where all of them are talking and that guy accuses Stu, they were being so obvious, knowing the ending its weird how you see things you totally don't notice before.

Hmmm but I was thinking not out of attraction anyways tho but out of following the rules of a horror movie, the virgin can't die. Remember the obsession with horror movies and wanting this to be their own horror movie. Also since this was also motivated by revenge it would mess with her head for the big reveal, either way they did their final plan with framing the father and reveal shortly after they finally slept together. If that is the case, if she had gave in sooner would they had done the final plan sooner and less people would have died? Possibly or they always wanted a high kill count and would have killed a few more anyways.

I’m certain they were trying to kill Sidney that night. The reason Billy shows up at the window is he probably realised Stu fucked up somehow and needed to distract Sidney so he could get away

@@unclekarl5219 I don't think so, well it depends on if you think the motive behind Billy is he really is just deranged or because of his her mom messing around with his dad. Given what happens in one of the sequels (no spoilers) I think they affair really was the motive, in which case Billy would want to do it himself and AFTER she has completely fallen for him... how would he know that, she sleeps with him... so the sleeping with him wasn't about sex, it was about making sure she had actually fallen for him so the betrayal at the end hurts more.... also they were trying to frame her father remember? so they I think kidnapped him that night too.
