Yeah, I live in Boston and you're absolutely right about the roads. That's why you just take the T everywhere instead, it's so much easier than dealing with the weird turns and the fact that every driver thinks that things like speed limits are really speed suggestions. ...and every creepy ghostish experience I've ever had can actually be blamed on my cats.

My childhood home in Alexandria, VA is a registered haunted house. Two of the creepiest are 1) my aunt was staying with us and when she was coming out of the bathroom at 2am the entire upstairs had a mist on the ground of our 2nd story home. She jumped in-between my parents and would not leave to morning. 2) This one happen the first night of the people who moved in right after us; we had left some furniture there and the new people but everything in the back room.

It was almost as exciting as finding a bag of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers action figures in my basement a couple weeks ago. My childhood keeps physically manifesting. It's brilliant.

One of my roommates my sophomore year of college used to bring her boombox into the bathroom. One day she found a CD in it that none of us had ever seen before and no one else had used it. This was also St. Augustine, and it's generally accepted that that particular dorm building is haunted (not to mention all of the surrounding area), even if the story about one of Henry Flagler's wives killing herself on the fourth floor (technically fifth, it was a hotel) isn't historically accurate.

Once I heard barking upstairs in the attic of my house, but when I went up there to see if a dog had gotten up there from our garage (the garage is the only way into the attic), but when I went up there, there was nothing there. My mom and my brother heard it too, and the weird thing was, my dog had died about two weeks before, and it had sounded like my dog.

The circle thing you drove around is called a rotary, not a roundabout. You were in Massachusetts. But one time I nearly got grounded because my friend and I were trying to drive home but we got wicked turned around even though we had a GPS, yeah Boston streets are wicked confusing. Still love that dirty water!

I live in MA my dad's from CA he always says how that if you make a wrong turn in CA you could take 3 lefts and be on the same road again. But if you try to do that in MA you'll get lost. Also the crazy thing is you could probably start off in one town drive on a road and go through 3 different towns and then wind up back in the town you started in. Also there's this one road that I went on once before that's annoying if you keep driving on it then it changes to another road and then back again.

My Spanish teacher was in the staff bathroom and saw a shadow but didn't hear footsteps or moving or anything. She just saw a shadow. I don't know how much of this I believe but it's pretty cool!

I live in Boston and go to school here, and I would never drive. The T may be the oldest subway system in America, but I either take that or just walk everywhere. As long as you're patient everything in Boston is walkable. = ) I'm kind of curious what hotel you stayed at, the Omni Parker Hotel is supposed to be incredibly haunted. And yeah, I'll totally agree with you. Boston=Creepy.

here's my thoughts, maybe said guy was sweeping all of the parking lots in front of closed down pubs in town that day, spreading misinformation about the true ownership of the pubs in question, you know, just for the fun of it. and he was perhaps so intriguing that you didn't realize the pub was closed, and so when you came back, and he's moved on to the next pub, and you realize that it's closed.

When I was 13 I met 2 of my friends at a park [Leo and Tom] and we were just hanging out. So about 4 hours passed and I head home, when I get home my mom was crying and she tells me Leo and Tom were hit by a car. In shock I ran to my room teared up and I started to cry. About 5 minutes later I look out my window and there is Leo waving goodbye.

At a castle in Cork, there's a dungeon that's meant to be haunted by the spirits of two little boys. A few years ago, I was in that dungeon and took a few pictures. In one, it looks like the outline of a small boy, I kid you not.

In my hometown there was a guy who didn't really have any Friends or a job, so he always drove around with his car, without anything to do. Nobody's sure if he commited suicide or if he died by accident, but he was found in his bathtub, approx. 2 months after he was dead. His neighbours only noticed that he was gone when it started to smell around the house. Well that's not really a ghost story, but rather a creepy and sad one. after the cake was in the oven we realized we needed more butter for the icing so we set off to the store again but when we get there the store is boarded up and empty, we walk over to a spooky looking house out back and knock on the door, a woman comes to the door and says a friendly hello we say hi back and ask about the store, astonishingly the store that less than half an hour earlier we had bought flour from had been closed since 1963! read part 3

I was in my old house, which used to be a block of flats but was converted into one really big house. I was in my room, all by myself, and everyone else was downstairs eating breakfast. I went over to my computer to print something out, and something hit me in the shoulder. It was a bottle of water which had been on my nightstand on the other side of my room. Something had thrown it at me. Real creepy. Also, a guy who asks for directions? Witchcraft I say. Yes.

Driving in Boston is HORRIBLE. And I used mapquest then too. Never again. But I did see UFO's last summer. We were in my pool at night, and on the horizon of the other side of the school field that's behind my house, we saw at least 30 little dots blinking red and white, just slowly drifting. They were too low and close together to be planes or anything else. Eventually they just floated up into the sky and vanished. What's really weird is that my friend saw the same thing when in Maryland o__O

once about 7 or 8 years ago ( i have an almost photographic memory) i was living in a house that was almost always sick in, i was in my bed trying to fall asleep,( this was during one of the periods of time that i wasnt super sick and could go to school) i heard a dog growling but there werent any dogs for about half a mile radius and then out of the corner of my room a grim reaper lik thing melted into my room and swang its sythe at me and dissapeared, i hid under my bed her rest of the night.

Too cool. Boston is hard to drive in. Those roundabouts are why the insurance rates in Mass. are so high. It is impossible not to have at least one traffic accident within the first year of living there. Really old cities have lots of ghosts but it sounds to me like divine help. So don't get creeped out, just say "Thanks" and go on.

Massachusetts is creepy all together. Considering that they have a bed and breakfast in th Lizzie Borden house. I was born on Halloween so I try to figure out creepy stuff all the time. Scariest place I'v ever been was the Vilisca Axe Murder House. Jegus, it's OOZING scary.

I was at home alone, and I thought I heard a woman's voice from the sitting room. I thought my grandmother had come inside while I had been in the computer room, and I went out to see her, but nobody was there. my fish was swimming around in her bole when I woke up the morning after she had died and been flushed. :) I watched her for a few minutes before I went and told my dad she was okay and then she was gone when he went back to check.

My school is haunted. Apparently, this girl who went there a long time ago hung herself in a storage closet. And now there is a locker with no number on it, that no one uses and the staff does not have the combination to that was apparently hers. And I guess freshman year, this junior was at her locker(next to the creepy locker) and a piece of wood flew off of a door next to her with a locker combination on it O.o I guess there is also a bunch of loud noises coming from the school store at night

Whenever someone in my family dies, they come to me at night & sit on my bed. They usually stay one night but my grandpa died in '04 and he came back until at least '07. Saw my cousin standing in front of the window (well it was a shadow but).

In that 30 minute span, The Doctor showed up because I'm guessing that there are some creepy statues in Boston which were actaully Weeping Angels. The angels touched the man 5 minutes after you left and took him back in time to right after he married his wife and he gets an offer to buy the bar and he declines. Therfefore, no pub to begin with. You should have looked for the Tardis...

I was at Adventure Island once and there was a I remember what she looks like I was waiting for the bucket of water to splash down and I was playing with this bottle oblivious to the world around me and she was like hey the buckets dumping so I stood up my bottle fell while the water was falling so I turned around for a second to retrieve it, I was going to thank her to be nice but she was gone. DISSAPEARED and it was knee length deep water you can't run out of that I two seconds!

My house is victorian I live in a city in england that is so old you walk a few feet down the road and you feel like you're in a dickens novel anyway I've got a few stories the worst is the two kids that were standing at the foot of my bed I'd slept with my head at that end that night which made it so much worse so I yelped and just looked at them eye contact and everything they just stared at me for a minute or so & I was freaked out so I told them to leave and they faded into the wall sort of
