This extended trailer was released as the final unlockable reward from Blizzard Entertainment's Join the Dominion! promotional site. As people took the Dominion army entrance exam, submitted propaganda in an art contest, and shared the site and content with their friends on Facebook, over 20 rewards were unlocked.

@Gareth Stott Warcraft was even complicated of it's story. They should start Starcraft as coming from earth introuducing each race in the beginning. Then the battle starts where they must kill the Overmind. That would've been cool.

While watching this, honestly, I got teary. I realized how much I love the Starcraft II universe with all my heart. For some reason I have a deep passion that makes me implode with happiness every time I hear Jimmy's voice. Only now do I realize how incredibly good Starcraft is, it deserves 5000/10. P.S. I have the strange feeling Zeratul might die, but he's my favourite character of the Protoss, alongside Artanis. I hope he doesn't die :D

I was so hyped by sc2. Used to download all the trailers, all the battle report videos, it was such a joy to me. The very first game installed in my very first pc. Had such wonderful times playing the campaign, vs ai and making maps. Although I no longer play it, it will always be my first love. Sc, sc bw and sc2 WoL.

Nine years later and it is still one of the greatest game trailers ever created. At this point, Blizzard should just become a film company, because their game quality has been suffering ever since the herpes of gaming (Activision) infected the company. Let us hope that WoW Classic restores the public faith.

I am 27 years old and not even remotely worthy of considering myself a "gamer" but I will never forget the first time I played Star Craft and how awesome it was then and still is today. Watching the trailer for SCII just now gave me goosebumps. haha. I would love for Blizzard to authorize production of a SC movie one day. It really wouldn't surprise me at all if they decide to in the somewhat near future. Just look at how many classics have become movies lately...

+riordian2 It depends how you look at it. Each trailer has it's own emotion tied to it. This trailer reeks of nostalgia (in a good way). HotS makes you feel helpless, because it perfectly demonstrates the overwhelming power of the zerg. LotV has a strong feeling of hope. Personally, I prefer the HotS trailer, because I felt it was the most effective.

About 11 years ago my brothers friend brought over StarCraft 1 and I played the Crap out of it many MANY times, and the online was just amazing too, all those custom maps. Then they announced Ghost and I got excited ... but never happened. Then I just stopped playing and looked at other games. Now I'm finally getting my new computer in the next week, and I keep watching this trailer EVERY DAY ... I can FINALLY know what happens!

@FeelFree3 That part was a flashback to the Terran Campaign of Starcraft . At the time, Terrans had yet to make ties with the Protoss. Tassadar, Executor of the Protoss Fleet, was under orders to "Halt the Zerg progress in the Terran sector by burning the infested human worlds." Instead, he went to fight the Zerg directly. But Mengsk wanted the Zerg to take out the Confederacy so he could take over, so Kerrigan was sent to fight off the Protoss, and prevent them from engaging the Zerg.

@Goldenderek4 well i can tell you, but only the most important thing. raynor met arcturus mengks and the brothers of corhal at start of starcraft 1, together they raised a revolution and built up an own empire. arcturus started to sacrifice many lives and planets to the zerg for this cause (including sarah kerrigan which got captured and infected by zerg).. raynor departed from arcturus and started to fight him and the zerg with the help of the protoss

This trailer and the launch trailer for Mass Effect 2 are the best game trailers I've ever seen. So wonderfully done. The speed changes, the dubs and effects, the music and audio editing... I wish I'd seen this trailer before I'd spoiled the damned ending for myself before playing it, thinking it was another RTS with no real story.

It's been confirmed the project has nothing to do with any of blizzard's current franchises, and, coincidentally, project titan was also the code name of the canceled Halo mmorpg.
