I think people forget that just because something is funny doesn't mean it isn't powerful. I think the greatest artists are those capable of laughing at themselves and maintaining perspective, embracing their absurdity. Medieval demonic art like Bosch captures this beautiful dichotomy of the disturbingly outlandish and comically ludicrous and it fills me with so much joy. This band captures that spirit so well.

I like that he talks about the humor and laughter in Ghoul's work and how laughter was seen as a craft of the devil in medieval times. Interestingly enough, the Tarot card The Devil in the major arcana is associated closely with laughter and mirth.

Now in 2019 we all know that it is Tobias Forge behind that Ghoul mask. Ghost is the best band I have heard for years, and I LOVE Iron Maiden and Metallica also BUT Ghost has become my #1 as of late.

Haha. Yeah, I've been listening to "Devils music" since I was a child, and still am. Ghost is a humorous, fun, and great musician band I've ever heard. The connection is just amazing, the music is alive and fucking beautiful.

you got that the other way around, it is very rare to so alpha in interviews, normally papa and omega does them. It is very easy to spot them looking at their hands, "papa" usually has that wedding ring, omega very big rings, and alpha has small rings, but hes easily identifiable on his distinct tattoo on his hand.. And alpha is not as good as omega and papa when it comes to interviews :)

If the Devil were to use entertainment outlets such as music to trick humans, the Devil should utilize a more acceptable types of music such as pop music, ballad music, k-pop music and among others to lure humans into hell so to speak. Why would the devil use rock and metal music to trick humans into hell if majority of people refuse to listen to rock and metal? Thank you for coming to my Ted talk!

Why many people say that rock is the music of the devil, I don't understand it.I have also been listening rock music since I was a kid. By the way, Ghost is one of the best rock bands I have ever heard

I don't think many people do now, however in the past, rock was considered satanic by christians who had a lot more influence than today. I believe a lot of those thoughts have stuck around to some degree, however mostly subconsciously. Metal singers seem to have realized this and just embraced it in a super satire way - which I asbolutely love. I find joking with satanic & anti-christ elements to be very funny, and it definitely doesn't hurt that the music is amazing.
