Watch this video as Prof. PLO Lumumba explains wise sayings and adages. He shares his insights on what he thinks is needed to bring change to the continent. Don't miss this thought-provoking discussion on the challenges and solutions for Africa.
In a thought-provoking interview on our platform, renowned Pan-Africanist and eloquent orator, Prof. PLO Lumumba, delved deep into the myriad issues facing the African continent. With his characteristic blend of eloquence and candor, Prof. Lumumba addressed a range of topics, from leadership failures to socio-economic disparities, while also challenging some commonly held beliefs about the role of religion in solving Africa's problems.
Prof. Lumumba began by highlighting the leadership crisis that has plagued many African nations since gaining independence. He argued that the continent's progress has been significantly hindered by leaders who prioritize personal gain over national development. This, he noted, has led to widespread corruption, political instability, and a lack of accountability, which continue to stifle economic growth and social progress.
The conversation then shifted to the economic challenges faced by African countries. Prof. Lumumba pointed out that despite the continent's abundant natural resources, many African nations remain trapped in a cycle of poverty and underdevelopment. He attributed this to a combination of factors, including poor governance, inadequate infrastructure, and the failure to add value to raw materials before export.
One of the most striking moments of the interview came when Prof. Lumumba addressed the popular notion that prayer and fasting can solve Africa's problems. He argued that while faith is important for spiritual sustenance, it should not be seen as a substitute for practical action. "Fasting and prayer can't solve Africa's problems," he stated emphatically. "What we need is a strategic plan, effective leadership, and a commitment to hard work and innovation."
Prof. Lumumba also touched on the importance of education and youth empowerment in driving Africa's development. He called for a reorientation of the education system to focus more on skills development and entrepreneurship, which he believes are crucial for creating employment opportunities and fostering economic growth.
The interview concluded with Prof. Lumumba urging Africans to take responsibility for their own destiny and work collectively towards the common goal of a prosperous, united continent. He emphasized the need for a new breed of leaders who are visionary, selfless, and dedicated to serving the people.
This enlightening conversation with Prof. PLO Lumumba serves as a powerful reminder of the complex challenges facing Africa, as well as the potential for transformation through thoughtful leadership and concerted action. It is a call to action for all Africans to rise above the limitations of the past and forge a brighter future for the continent.
Watch the full interview on our platform to hear more of Prof. Lumumba's insights and wisdom on navigating the path to Africa's renaissance.

Im in the diaspora. I am in the military and constantly developing what I will bring to Africa. I consider myself very much aware and conscious of matters where I am and in Africa. I want to come establish business and learn the culture. I want to develop food cost security because I know Africa do not lack food but we lack cost security. It is time we do something and take control over our problems. With that being said I have skills and accept any directing to whom I can share my visions for fit when my military contract is done. I have my sights to invest aquaculture with any one of either Kenya(1st pick), Nigeria, or Ivory Coast. I have growth mindset and strive to provide to sectors that will make the statement of our power known and thus our people respected. With this being said I AM A BLACK MAN though my mother is Greek and I worry being discriminated as Ive heard from my Liberian wife too that "I am not from there". I am 22 years of age and I fight the systematic oppression in every breath.

There are chinese, indians, lebanese, and many europeans living ajd doing great business. do NOT come to Africa expecting people to welcome you with open arms. Come expecting to live with a foreigners mindset and be careful about who you choose to associate with: their educational amd socioeconomic level determines their ability to understand and cooperate with your program. After all, it'z not race, it's tribe that determines cultural affiliation. It's a good continent, people are good like evrywhere else, but go with eyes wide open. The other groups come and become successful

By no means do I expect a welcome but too needing to establish connection with people. To do I understand 50% of the Africa's population to be under 25 years of age and thus much volatility in the thinking over manners of agenda unity, colorism, economics, so forth. I have always claimed to be Ghanaian by birth. However the Government will not issue me a passport because I am not ethnically Ghanaian. This is the policy. I want to come to Ghana to work in the public planning sector as an architect planner in the next three years. However I will be a foreigner in the land of my birth, I accept that. It is a struggle. It is natural for people to want to associate with those who are familiar with common life experiences, because that is lessening some of their struggle of making a home in a place that will always see them as an opportunity and not a brother or sister. This is a policy and cultural incongruence that needs to be looked at in every African country.

I had the pleasure in meeting prof and listen to his guidance when he came to Rwanda this march. His presentation hit me hard with truth. He is the most amazing man I've ever meet, we need to listen and act. Alkebulan stop replying on religion that are not ours, stop closing your eyes, stop killing yourself , stop allowing Alkebulan to being raped and pillagers. Stop hurting your brothers and sisters. Listen to prof with open ears, open minds, open hearts. We the diasporans and Pan- Africans have a duty to bring our experience back home but the environment is hostile and we feel not wanted back home. Prof is correct we don't have an enable environment. I've come back and I'm treated like rubbish, I have no support and I'm just a ATM. Many of my friends have left. So listen to prof create a harmony environment to enable us to return. Give us legal standing, many officials treat us like outsiders and have no understanding of our needs, most of the time we are treated with contempt. So let's make the changes

It is sad and so painful but thank GOD we all one day wether we like it or not one day we will leave this beutiful planet and that is the secret which those wicked people they dont understand. I pray to GOD to answer your prayers before you depart in this planet so that you can Glorify your GOD in heaven. *Discipline* and *sacrifice* are what we need in Africa. Those are the key words for success. Fasting and prayer cannot slow down the development of Africa. Those in various religions who apply what they have been taught and made the demanded sacrifices succeed in life. Even discipline and sacrifice honestly and rigorously applied will change our bad leaders into good ones to our own surprise. Let's give it a try and we will see. Many of the faiths are very effective tools for development. We fail to try them and continue with our rhetoric. Let's go and check Israel, Japan, South Korea, Singapore etc... and see.

Prof. P L O. Lunumba, fasting and Prayer is the most Best thing one can do into achieving anything one will want to achieve in peace and prosperity. This is the stand point of a Muslim's prospect. But, and a BIG BUT for that matter, we are NOT saying that one should take His/ Her prayer mat , sit in Corner somewhere in your house or somewhere in the Wilderness and started praying to The Mighty Allah that you wanted a GGP/ a Golden Goał Post to be erected in your playing Field? No we are NOT saying that. What we as Muslims are saying is that with a genuine Heart, fasting and praying to our Lord The Almighty Allah, one can achieve anything with ACTION, thats what we are talking about. Action in the sense that for an Example that an Agricultural Engineer will want to build a water way for water to be flowing from a River near by into his farm in order for The Agricultural Engineer to have a good yield for the crop season. This MUST be done by The Engineer rolling up his sleeves to start digging the trench hole where water will be flowing from the River near through the trench hole and to his farm. Fasting and Prayers can never do that for him, otherwise he must have to fast and pray first so that the physical power he has to used in order for him to do the job can be Easy for him in peace and Tranquility.. Thanks.

We can never do things right untill we use our language.. A continent without a language is not a continent. We are using a language that excluded our citizens into our development. Chinese developed very quickly bcs they used there own language. A country without his own language will never progress. We have a lot of minerals resources but we don't know the name of our minerals resources in our language. A borrowed language makes us looks like a child we always has to go back and ask how to use it and how did it looks like, we are stocked. Our language exist for 1000years how long is it going to take us to master someone else language in an environment of ours. We are going nowhere without a language of ours. All countries you mentioned with technology today are countries who are using his or her own language. Every countries who are technologically developed are those who are using his own language. No language is better than your own .You think the colonial master are fools , they tricks us to abolished our own language culture religion and slot us together never to progress. Our problems is 100% language. Ask yourselfs questions what have we achieved with English language for 100yrs nothing everything is falling apart. Is never too late we can do it faster with our language. There are no words in English Chinese French that doesn't exist in our language. To make things easier we have to divide to be a Nation of our own. Lets each tribes to go and bear his fathers name to have peace and progress.

Africa has its issues, and I really respect Prof. Lumumba. But why doesn't the Elder ever talk about the things that African governments have achieved or at least are trying to achieve despite what they are up against. Also, government can't do it alone. They need the ingenuity and support of the people.
