I love that they know their own language. Know English, sure (helps to bring the diaspora back home when we can understand each other), but have pride in yourselves to teach your children the native languages. I, we, the diaspora can learn the native language as we return home. Most important is to have pride in Africa, in our own everything. We adopt other cultures languages, practices etc, because we sometimes don't have value in our own. Africa MUST HAVE PRIDE IN ITS OWN. Pride in it's own people, it's own culture, it's own languages, religion, food, music, morals etc. WE MUST HAVE PRIDE IN OURSELVES! Diaspora are coming home. We must keep Africa for Africans so we have a home to come home to. We are coming home.

Big props to Jeremiah, especially when he was born & raised in the US, to an a Ghanaian father. I was rocking my West African clothing 30 years ago in the US but I was born & raised in West Africa & grew up with the culture. Regardless of the passport of convenience I carry, I've never considered myself anything but African, despite 46 years living out of Africa. Visiting Africa often & doing business there have kept me connected over the years, and my US born wife & kids are very familiar with all that is African, clothing, Afrobeat, food, etc..
