He is 98% reuse. The entire figure is Sgt. Stalker, including the straps, and side holster. The new sculpt is the head. Believe it or not this is desirable. As the original release of Snake Eyes was also a 98% reuse of Sgt. Stalker, with an obvious new head sculpt.

Alpha Commando Snake Eyes is a partial of Beach Head, Retro Card Snake Eyes is a total redo of Stalker with a Snake Eyes head. Expect all of the 82 Joes to have the retro card body. The 'bag' is satchel charges. Explosives. Snake Eyes always uses too much. LOL

You are spot on with the Stalker body! I missed that as currently Stalker is posed in my camo Han Solo Trench coat.

Agree deffo better looking but awful that we have to buy both! I wanted to head swap the older one with a legends head for a different look. So far any I have tried don't fit the peg. I'll not give up hope though!

Another Awesome Review! Retro Snake Eyes is the Coolest! I still remember being a kid and finding him on the pegs when I was shopping with my Grandmother. One of the best action figures of all time. This new version looks incredible. Great Job Conor!

Very cool Conor! Glad you decided to pick this one up after all. New: Commando Snake Eyes, complete with Uzi, sidearm, flashbang grenades, man-bag, and three water bottles to keep you hydrated on those long jungle missions! 🤣 I do think this was different enough to be worth the purchase. I do like the changes they made including the smooth chest, slightly altered head sculpt, and boots as you pointed out. Super cool!

Cheers Josh and yes when I had a good look at him I was sold. The accessories are cool and I was hoping to use the body with a regular Snake Eyes head. Sadly the peg on this is much smaller than the regular Joe's for some reason. That's not to say I can't have fun with him as he is. Sure its Snake Eyes!

Another excellent review video from Fuller's Figures. Conor certainly delivers, with a comprehensive and detailed review of the G.I. Joe Classifieds Retro Snake Eyes. And while I doubt the need for one more Snake Eyes, this Retro version certainly seems to be a big improvement on earlier releases.

Very nice - There's enough differences that I guess the retro one could be used as an SAS Stalker. I had no intention of getting the retro cards but with Cobra Commander coming with the HISS I thought they'd display well together so I've ended up picking them up.

I was honestly hoping to use a regular Snake Eyes head on this body for a look of the vintage V2 one. But the peg on this guy is much smaller than the others. I was a raging when I tried it. Would have been cool to use for Stalker though.

Appreciate the early look at this classic look for snake eyes. Over here in the US, most of us will have to wait until June for him to release. This is one of my favorite looks for snake eyes as this is how he appeared in the silent interlude issue of the original comic run.

They were known as Action Force over here and the comic was the same name. And this figure is a great call back to those GI Joe/Action Force comics. I loved picking them as a kid. We are still waiting on Recondo to hit. Strange they way they come out so wide apart around the world. Hope you like it if you pick it up.

Well being in Vancouver......I'm sure this guy will turn up some time in the fall.....if he shows up at all I do want this one as I think he does a good job of replicating the original toy from my first childhood.....and I want his accessories I'd love more grenades...frags......home wrecks etc. Great review love your channel

I’m glad this is not just a cheap reused/repackaging. At the same time, this is the simplest/least impressive sculpt, minus the laced boots. But I guess this is paying tribute to the original 3.75 inch figure, which was a simple figure with no paint to save money…. 😂😂😂

For every Unimpressed collector that have commented, just know that there are guys like me who don't have a lot of money and have only been collecting less than 2 years, but have the nostalgia of the old 80s toys. These retro card back figs coming out are definitely for me.. With prices the way they are now with Hasbro, I have to be super choosey even though I want a lot of what're coming out in every line. But I def plan on grabbing these retros when they come out. I preordered Lady Jaye and Baroness when it came up live,....and then we all know how *THAT* Walmart shipping experience was. 💩😢 After seeing how we actually got them in-store anyways, I have decided to try my luck with hunting in the stores. I figure I have just as much luck getting a mint on card in store than I do in having them shipped so. I don't know how everyone else around the country has faired, but I got lucky finding Gung-ho a few weeks ago at my local Walmart and just today (2/11/23) at an out-of-the-way Wally, I found Destro. The movie-version Snake-Eyes is holding me over uuntil I find the retro this year with luck at Walmart. I honestly dig all the retro-carded ones coming to Walmart and plan on grabbing them all, even though I already have the regular boxed SS. Great review. Probably gonna be mid to late summer or even early fall before I see SE in any of my Walmarts, with luck.🤞

Nice review. Snake Eyes is my favorite Joe and the commando V1 look is my also my preferred look for him. While living in another country in my younger years, I actually saw him because my classmate brought him to school and thought he looked cool and had no idea who he was or even what Gi Joe was. I am curious on how much smaller the head scale is on the retro compared to the Alpha Commandos is? I feel the Alpha Commandos head size is a tad on the larger side. My excuse for that is he’s wearing some lightweight protective head gear underneath his mask. In my mind, V1 is his normal look and uniform for all around missions. Alpha Commandos suit for war zones with heavy enemy fire. V2 for pure stealth missions where silence and swiftness are primary.

I have a similar story for falling in love with the V2 Snake Eyes. And for that reason I was hoping to use a V2 head on this guy for my ultimate Snake Eyes. However the head is a little bit smaller and for some reason Hasbro gave this one a tiny peg. So no other Joe heads will fit on the body. And the peg is very weak so I didn't go messing with it to much. I love your idea of the different uses for the outfits. Works in different displays.

George I was the exact same. I was Snake Eye's out! Then I seen the close ups and the little details. My one major gripe and I am sorry I didn't include it in the video is that the peg on this guy will not fit any other Joe heads. I was hoping to swap it out for a V2 style head with the visor.

@@FullersFigures as I sat and thought about it for a sec… is the peg too big or too small? I do a lot of customs figures…if it’s too big what I do it soak the head in hot water along with the peg.. and pop them on.. it will be a little snug but it will be ok.. now if the peg is too small there is a few tricks I know that can fix that as well but it’s pretty detailed.. I have done it many times but it takes a bit of time.. you can build the peg ball joint up with superglue and baking soda.. but work in small amounts cause here is a heat reaction when putting them together.. but the glue and baking soda will make a very hard plastic… what I do is coat the ball joint with superglue.. and then sprinkle baking soda over the glue.. I keep doing that in layers .. then when get to the correct size I sand smooth back to a ball shape..let cure for a few days then put the head on… you may need to add more glue and baking soda but I always make bigger so I can sand to a good fit… just work in small amounts Edit.. I forgot to tell you the easier way also… latex glove finger tips.. this one is not so permanent but it will work on a pinch.. cut the fingers out of latex gloves.. layer them on the ball joint.. snap the head on and use a hobby knife to cut the rest of the latex off the figure.. again it’s not pretty but it works and will not alter the figure joint if you decide to swap back..

No I haven't had that issue with any Snake Eyes figure yet. We are still waiting on Fire Fly here in Europe though and I'm worried he seems to be suffering from that.

Why does your 02 mainline Snake Eyes have a silver mask?

I painted the visor to make it look more like the vintage Snake Eyes. I used a silver paint pen with a tiny nib. Took a few coats but like it better than the plain black look.

These things are terrible. Noone is buying them where I live. The card backs are super flimsy. Almost every Joe package i see is destroyed.

Not terrible. Card backs *ARE* super flimsy, I will give you that. The only ones around here that are peg warmers are the Lady Jayes and Baroness, but Gung-ho and Destro have just been showing up here in Kansas and as far as I have seen, there have been only 2 of each at every Walmart I have gone to.
