Infidelity or Death breaks the bond of marriage. Adultry is a sin. At this point, they are two people making it together. Ain't he so good 🙏 To forgive is divine. Forgiveness builds stronger bonds than holding grudges ever could. It's never about the destruction with Him. It's about the rebuilding. The deeper the wound the greater the healing. This is the most powerful breakfast club interview I have seen. Showing the importance of communication, forgiveness, sacrifice and dedication in a marriage. In the midst of the laughter, promoting the book and telling the stories, the highlight for me was when Gia took time out to ask Envy about how he felt about something she didn’t know before. This beautiful woman stops to find out more about her husband and acknowledges his feelings. That is truly amazing. Their love is deep rooted, rare and God is at the center of it all. Much love to Gia. A strong, loving, beautiful and inspiring woman who shows you can cater to your man but also know the importance of having your own voice. Well done to Envy for putting in the work, putting his ego aside and showing that it’s okay to love your wife and family unapologetically. Blessings to their family.

The fact that Envy allowed himself to feel vulnerable enough to trust his wife to that capacity is nothing short of amazing. If you ask me a lot of men cannot handle being loved unconditionally. One of the most important things Gia talks about here, and something I have seen so many couples struggle with, is A) men thinking that a simple apology to their s/o after cheating on them means that their partner should immediately forgive them and ‘move on’, without putting in the real work and really showing them, OVER TIME, that they truly understand how they hurt their partner & how it has affected them & their ability to trust them, and showing them & proving to them a renewed commitment to their relationship and to truly working on their personal issues & the issues in their relationship and B) If the unfaithful partner/spouse DOES do the work and truly is putting their all into the relationship & is actively trying to be the best partner they can be, then the other partner CANNOT keep constantly bringing up the affair & constantly using that to make their partner feel bad/guilty, etc. You either understand that you cannot forgive & move on from this with the person who cheated, and you make the decision to end the relationship (which is understandable), OR you DO decide to forgive, you decide to start a new chapter, you decide to move on, together, and you agree to not keep bringing up these past mistakes frivolously and at every opportunity. That’s only going to keep bitterness and resentment constantly present in your relationship, within both people, and you will never be able to truly move past the infidelity. I have seen way too many men do a quick apology & then think everything should just immediately go back to ‘normal’, and that’s never going to work out in a positive way, and I have seen too many women with partners who are genuinely horrified by their actions & are doing everything they can to save their marriage, and those women say they forgive & want to stay together & move on, but then they bring up the infidelity at every chance they can, and that’s just all around toxic for everyone involved, children included if you have them, because they pick up on everythinggg. If you cheat: only apologize if you truly mean it, put in the work to fix the relationship, and give her/him proper time to forgive & decide if they are comfortable moving forward with the relationship. If you can’t forgive: be honest, and move on. If you do forgive: you need to decide if you can forgive & stay together, or if you can forgive but still need to move on, but be clear, and if you do decide to stay together, then you need to make a strong commitment to not dwell on the past, to continuously work on making your relationship stronger and not bring up past mistakes when new arguments & situations inevitably come up.

I don’t know where to begin if he’s annoyed by everything I do or say now. I need guidance and all I can fo is pray to God we find our peace again.

This was a great interview. DJ Envy & Gia have something that's rare. I hope people really understand what this couple is saying. Gia said Envy always demonstrated love, he never dropped his obligations to his wife and family. He worked at regaining his wife's trust. Gia said something so real... She said that Envy was willing to go through the rigors of the good, bad & uncomfortable to heal his marriage... heal the wound that he inflicted, allowing her time to heal properly. And once she forgave him, it was no longer a trigger for her. She let it go and she is confident and has moved on with building on their union. And even more important, Gia said the most important "thing" in a marriage is God. The only thing she said that I don't agree with is God's role in her mom's dementia. May God continue to bless their union. So many lessons in this hour long interview.

I really enjoyed this interview. Everyone got to see a mature couple work through their problems. It was very surprising to see a man own up to his mistakes and fight to do everything he could to get his best friend back and he remained humble until she was OK. I also like the fact that once she decided to forgive him she put in the work and not beat him up every chance she got. Sometimes men Love to give a bunch of excuses as to why they cheat instead of taking ownership and breaking up with the person or making a decision that they love the person and they don’t want to lose them so they’re going to do everything they need to do to make it right.

What she was explaining is just going to church x saying a prayer is not relationship with God which is what he created us for!
