Giacomo Agostini 350cc MV Agusta 6 cylinder

Giacomo Agostini on a demonstration ride of a 350cc MV Agusta 6 cylinder from 1957-1958. Filmed at the 2005 Isle of Man TT, during the evening entertainment on the Prom.
I would like to dedicate this to my late father, Stuart Millward BEM. This was his favourite clip of our trips to the TT, and he would play this repeatedly most evenings to remember not only our tines there, but also his trips to the TT in the 60's to watch his hero, Ago. We miss my father terribly. RIP dad.

I had the pleasure of watching Ago race against Mike the Bike Hailwood at Brands Hatch in the late 1960's. What a race it was - Mike prevailed but Ago was right on his tail. Before the race I managed to get through a hole in the fence to rub shoulder with the MV mechanics in the paddock, and then Ago arrived to warm up the bike. Memorable days for an impressionable 16 year old! Ah nostalgia...

The 1956/7 6 Cylinder MV was a 500, and that was the one that John Hartle rode in a GP. This one with Agostini on it was from the late 60s and built to challenge the Honda 6, but it was never raced.

This 350 -6 was built to go up against the much Later Honda Multicylinders of the 1970s. The original 6 Cylinder 500 was built somewhere between 1956 and 1959 and that was raced only once by John Hartle. It was a much bulkier model than the 350 -6 in this video, and because of this no advantage was had by the extra 2 cylinders. It is regularly seen at Raduna MV at Cascina Costa.I would love to know who owns it.

Leider wurden die 6Zylinder - Maschinen zwar entwickelt und gebaut, aber durch das Verbot, ab 1975 nie eingesetzt im Rennen, absolut schade, die hätten den Hondas und Anderen richtig Dampf gemacht!! 💪🏍️🙋

No the 1968 bike was a 500cc. This is amuch later 350cc. For your information. 500cc Had a yellow background to their number plates. 350cc had blue background. 250cc had green,. 125cc had white.

No this 350cc was from much later. .John Hartle rode the 500cc -6 in 1958,
