I really see Esposito playing Norman Osborne. He can DEFINITELY pull off the nefarious, tech savvy industrialist role. Since Tony Stark and Justin Hammer are off the board, now is perfect time for a cold and calculating Norman Orsborne played by Esposito to enter the MCU. Also, besides being a foil to street level and well known heroes (Spiderman, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, X-Men), Osborne is also a character that's very influential amongst villains (Kingpin, Venom, Carnage, Doctor Doom) across the marvel universe as well.

I cannot agree more that Giancarlo Esposito is perfect for Doctor Doom, and if this show announcement is true, I am beyond excited for it. I have been saying that Doctor Doom needs to be the villain of Secret Wars, but he needs to be introduced first, and what better way to do that than to have a Doctor Doom show right before Secret Wars that will allow fans to understand what is going on with Doom and why he is important. I don't see Giancarlo Esposito as Doctor Doom for similar reasons. The iconic version of Doctor Doom that most people are familiar with is deeply European and white. It's hard to imagine a Black man living in a castle, surrounded by people speaking a European language, and fitting into the historical family background that Doom's character has. Giancarlo is a great actor, but I don't think he's the right fit for this role.

Also, he’s too old. Him and Reed Richards are supposed to be about the same age… and if Pedro Pascal is Reed Richards, this actor needs to be de-aged by a decade or more. Sorry.

I would want to see him in so many roles, but not this. Surely they should give it to an actor from the region where Latveria is based on in reality. There aren't too many big name Romani actors, but this role really should belong to an actor from around there. Come on Marvel.

I feel like they should do something similar to vader make him a v.a. because doom is tall and ripped Cillian murphy would be the next best just due to his acting in Oppenheimer and fan casting

i like Giancarlo because he balances being BLK and ITALIAN very well! - he's literally a CAUCASIAN human, mostly! so for the first time, marvel wont really be 'blackfacing' a legacy CAUCASIAN character. And thats GOOD...
