@lavastrength Once you beat the Pokémon league for the first time, you can travel to Vermilion City through the S.S. Aqua ship. Prof. Elm should've given you a ticket. You can sail out and start your Kanto adventures in Vermilion City.

People who are blaming you for not training you team...what is wrong with them? You needed levels quickly to be able to continue your walkthrough and so your friends helped you out. I think you don`t have to protect yourself so much in your videos. If someone doesn`t like what you are doing, that is their own problem. Well in the GameStop here in Germany I preordered Heart Gold with the Promotion Figure Ho-Oh. And as I know NOW I can't pick it up earlier than the official Release Date. But maybe it'll be the same thing like Platinum and I'll be able to get it earlier. Until now, nothing is known about that.

Physical fighting type moves will take care of lapras and snorlax(STAB low kick/close combat ftw). Pikachu shouldn't be any problem considering its a fairly weak second stage evo

That's because you either used action replay or traded or beat him with 1 legend. My best option for beating Red is having a team that is properly trained and has good moves. The team has to have good stats. Uber Pokemon just makes it look easier. You just make people look bad. But you're right, I need good pokemon with levels 70-77.

No those are just the pokemon you can get for free in gen 1 games, or that were meant to be found, 4 starters(Pikachu(yellow) Squirtle, charmender, and bulbasaur) Lapras(get at Silph Co.) and snorlax (Found by using pokéflute, which you need to do to get past the game) Also, Red was a champion, (Since Red(lucas from g/r/b/y/fr/lg) Supposly won the pokémon league

I beat him with a team of 5, my highest level being a 63. You just have to have a decently leveled team really, just have a pokemon to counter whatever type he has and its a breeze! :)

I could never beat Red in the original Silver(which I still have). I could kill his Charzard, Venasaur, and (sometimes) Blastoise, but I had SO much trouble with Lapras, Pikachu, and Snorlax.

i remember when i had gold and crystal it thought red was invinceable. Then again I was inexperienced and my strategy was to use my powerhouse (starter) and neglect training all pokemon. my other pokemon were just shields i would use when reviving my starter which i caught in the indigo plateao however you spell it..

O.O Well then i'm not sure what the problem is...i beat him at levels 57-64 in one go. Try finding as many max revives/max potions/full restores you can get your hands on, and since you've battled him so much you already know what types of Pokemon he uses so use their counter. Maybe i just got really lucky.
