Loved the plate of goodies!! I'll look for those round Italian biscuits. I always make a platter for the holidays ....it never fails to please those who have pre supper munchies ☺️🐭

i could eat antipasti all day. sooo good!
@УиллаГриин6 жыл бұрын
This is your best video of them all. Thanks, Gianni. You can walk off all that good food by climbing the streets in North Beach. Walk up to Coit, stop in City Lights, and then get coffee at Cafe Trieste on Green St. Is Joe's Diner still up and running on Columbus? Best Italian food I ever ate in my life. All my love to SF ❤️🦀🍆🍕🌉☮️

My family makes antipasti almost identical to this, except sometimes my aunt stuffs the green olives with some sort of a bread crumb mixture.

Great antipasti Gianni, my little treat on saturdays watching the football or rugby, with a bottle of Montepulciano d'abruzzo. I like the Gorgonzola piccante myself, and some pickled artichoke, but as you say its a canvas. I've also recently become a fan of N'duja...a little smear on some bruschetta, a slice of cooling mozzarella, a sliver of roasted pepper...!!!

this looks amazing, my family always adds some marinated artichokes and some hot stuffed cherry peppers which are my absolute favorite!!
@GianniNorthBeachTV10 жыл бұрын
Ciao. Baby artichokes were my first choice but they weren't in the market so I went with the peppers. There are several artichoke recipes on my channel and blog. Hot or sweet cherry peppers? What's the stuffing? I like a sharp provolone cube wrapped in prosciutto inside a sweet cherry pepper. Buon appetito! --Gianni

Oh my God! I love hot cherry peppers, too. Learned to love hot pepper sandwiches when I was a kid. There's something special about those peppers.

You've just described my antipasto exactly!...I'm hungry now...
@TheScouseassassin10 жыл бұрын
What are your cherry peppers stuffed with?, here's mine (ala Jamie Oliver)..roast them first in olive oil, keep the flavoured oil for cooking, then stuff with chopped rocket (arugula), basil, parsley, chilli, capers and anchovies, flavour with a drop of balsamic, outrageously good!

We're lucky here in the UK, all the supermarkets are stocking ready sliced DOP meat platters, for £6 ( $9) I can get a 250g mix of Prosciutto Crudo, Coppa Nostrana and Salami Rustica. Add a few store cupboard pickles and you're sorted!
Very good. Never thought about the Orange in the olives. Will give that a try. Hey....why no capers?

"We have some salumi". What the F is salumi. I hope he means salami. WOW!
@GianniNorthBeachTV8 жыл бұрын
+veronicats100 Ciao Veronica. "Salumi" is the term for cured meats, mostly pork, including salami, prosciutto and also beef bresaola. It also includes cooked products like mortadella and prosciutto cotto (cooked ham). Many are cured with salt and that's the root of this category of meats. Buon appetito! --Gianni

Channel has good stuff but I can't stand the camera pointing at his face when he's pointing at the main subject, the food. It's some technique camera people tell themselves it's supposedly professional, but defeats any purpose other than self indulgence.
