If I wanted to make a smaller shoe how many balloons would I use for the long piece that makes the shoe part and how many segments of lamp? thanks in advance I love this. also could you use this outside how would you weight it. maybe tie a brick to the lamp base?

For outdoors the footprint is more important than the actual weight. I don't know how well this design would do outdoors as it's so loosely framed, though I have to admit I've never tried it outside.
