I am hooked Sandi. I'm sorry I just discovered you. I started twisting balloons in 2006. In 2013 I was stricken with Guillian Barre Syndrome which left me paralyzed from the neck down. Lots of PT and OT plus a couple of months in the hospital and rehab. My point in this is that balloon twisting again became my recovery. At the beginning I could not hold the pump because of muscle spasms. Over a period of months I gained back my strength. Now I twist balloons for my grandsons and for folks in nursing homes...for birthdays. I'm so glad to have found your channel as your cheery disposition would brighten anyone's day. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent.

hi Sandi what is the size of the baloon stand? i am eyeing a 5'7 ft floor lamp base. will that be good enough? i am afraid that if i make this a bit shorter, it would not be as fabulous..

I generally use a 7' pole, but for this filming I think it's about 6' or so. :~)

I either use not lamps from ikea and use 5 pole sections or I make my own bases and use EMT cut to 7'. I have a video on how to make the bases yourself on my channel. :~)

These stands were made from lamp poles~ you can get them at Ikea, target, walmart, etc. They're floor lamps with the electrical bits stripped out. Those are "260" balloons ~ the long skinny balloons that people use for hats and animals. :~)
