Giant Crinum Lily - You Should Grow Them!!!

Here is a quick video about Crinum Lilies! These are the giant tropical varieties more suited to warmer climates- ours are grown in USDA Hardiness Zone 10a. Easy to grow, hard to kill, drought and salt tolerant with large tropical foliage and flowers! Enjoy!

I've never seen those here in NC, just a bunch of wild daylillies everywhere in the countryside. People plant canna and tiger lillies here too. I may have to get some of these!

I believe they will be fine in USDA Hardiness Zones 8 -11. I read an article where the person used them as indoor plants in Minnesota- she said they never bloomed indoors but the foliage alone made for nice house plants... Thanks for watching and sharing!

The Queen Emma won’t make it in North Carolina unless you give it protection. Even then, it won’t be a very huge plant. It’s hardy in a very warm 8b zone that is is 9A most every year. It’s also very frost sensitive.

I found lots of crinums here in the county parts of w.ilson and pitt County nc
