The COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t stopped Philippine eagle conservation efforts. At the height of the Philippines’ lockdown, one of these eagles was rescued, despite land, sea and air travel being banned.
The eagle was found in Siocon in Zamboanga del Norte, an area that has suffered from major deforestation. There are only around 400 breading pairs of this species left in the wild.
