I lived in Adelaide for four years to do an apprenticeship and there was a huge open concrete drain, Sturt creek from memory. Carp used to wash down after storms and when the water went down they got trapped in low spots. Anything thrown into the pool they were in sent them into a feeding frenzy and we were catching them with old cigarette buts with an unweighted decent size hook.

Different rules in NSW with regard to returning them if you want and in a water like this (if it were in NSW) where nothing else would survive it would make sense to return a few for next time. Only thing I did'nt like in your video was the pollution coming out of the pipe at the beginning, and its maybe a big hint as to why our rivers are so f*ked-up.

I used to ride there during the week back in the 80’s before the ring road was built & the Broady track on the weekends. Great times

Fish at Yarra river
@juzadventures21 күн бұрын
I have been trying the Yarra since cod opening and cant seem to land any fish worthy of a video, Bait and lures it has slowed down as people just flog the yarra cod these days and now i see people every single trip i go using massive rods and have buckets and most likely keep all the cod they catch and it is so sad. Most of the time they can't speak English or try and hide from you when they see you coming 😆
