@Dayton Crandlemire well you have to build a shrine first to specific god, then create 500 offerings there. You also have to level up the tier of the Altar to max( Tier-3 ). Then you need to find an arch priest of that religion and make him a thrall. Then you need an hour to make the true name of God, which destroys the altar and sacrifices the arch priest as well.

But Conan stories take place specifically in the Hyborean age that Howard created. It is more of a "shared universe", if you will.

I know this goes against a lot of the consensus in the comments but, I am looking forward to the day when someone heads at my base with a god. The whole experience looks thrilling as hell. Sure it will suck having to regrind everything but this is an experience you can’t get in any other game.

The re-farming of everything is what so much fun too, to me personally. Everybody in a pvp server can have a base, a strong one at that, and lose it afterwards at any time because it's not pve where everything has to be admin wiped to create room for more lesser clans or solo players. CE is kind of a hard mode fantasy survival and i love that! Not many who actually do but i have a feeling if they just get used to it or have a sense of purpose within themselves to just move forward no matter what the cost than they will find that it isn't that bad after all. There might be unraidable bases and I'm pretty sure that is what's killing this game, but still even after all that you can still have fun on that server with all those fun killers.

The game is virtually unplayable if you’re less than 4 people who are actually dedicated to grinding, the gods protections give you a chance but youll most likely be wiped by a squad of 4-10 people before you can farm it up and even then consistently keeping it up is alot of work for one person it takes the fun of being able to explore out of the game when you spend 80% of your time playing trying to gather protection a pve server is the only way to go if you have no friends

You can outrun pretty much everything, and nothing can swim and you don't lose stamina for swimming - Meaning that you can run to water and use it as a safe spot. NPCs also stop chasing you and turn back after a while. I like the game well enough, but let's not pretend like it doesn't have some major flaws.

The only point of summoning them is to destroy structures. So no, they're useless in PvE, unless you really want that journey step completed

I was asking myself why would anyone destroy their own bases? Then I saw you play PVE probably using admin mode. But still! Seeing those great works just go poof hurt lol. This is (mostly) why I’ll ONLY play PvE, by myself, on my own private server, and with Admin abilities (Demi God & infinite stamina). Conan is a game I just have fun in. I’ve heard way to many horror stories from people who play PvP. The kind of stuff that made them quit. Built a huge nice base, with a lot of thralls, captured a giant (how?), THEN 2 days later a random Clan stumbled on them, killed and destroyed everything including the giant in a matter of minutes. I was about to join them on PvP until that happened. I’d walk away from the game if that happened to me.

@@euphoricfeeling3953 If in the same amount of time a God summon does less damage than a Cimmerian Berserker, I would say that's a pretty clear sign the Thralls system is way too over-powered. Now if you mean it wouldn't be worth wasting a God summon on the world bosses for the short time they would be able to damage them vs. the Berserker will eventually be able to take them out over time. Agreed there.

Played a ton of PvP Official server both while Gods were active and inactive. I can't say that they add much to the game. Foundation-wiping people tends to kill servers, which means that eventually you end up with PvP servers that are dead except for a few small players and then one 'super clan'. Blowing into a base with bombs is more challenging and while you get a lot of good loot, you don't foundation-wipe people into quitting. While gods were inactive on officials, we saw a healthy community. When gods came back, all the servers I was on were more or less dead (or just played by one super clan and a few small guys) within a couple months. That's just my experience on five different servers, so maybe other people had different things happen on their servers. But in my opinion Gods are not good for the overall health of the game. Too much easy destruction. Yes, I know you're marked on the map, but if you have your clanmates with thralls defending and if you know how to position yourself, that's not at all a big issue. I've run Gods and defended the players running them and it's never been difficult at all.
