Great find with your substitute for the beef netting! Just a couple hints.. after spraying the foam, hit it with a light mist of water then wait 5 minutes or so, you can mold it too to your desired shape. hitting the pipe insulation with a heat gun, (easy does it) you can bend, and even bond the foam together.
