Giant Judo fighter Maxim Novolesov takes on 5 Power Lifters. At 45 maxim still has a lot of strength and technique.

You can see the ego coursing through him, holding chokes too long, taunting guys, coming up on knee-on-belly to impact, adding voice effects and only making videos of sparring with much less skilled people. This sort of behaviour results in being disliked, and causing someone much more skilled to come and roll with you to give you a hard time.

@@Goon.29 Idk dude, this isn't what a hard spar is like. You can be a bit more dickish when you're doing less dangerous/painfull techniques, but holding a choke to long, bouncing a knee on belly, when you're THAT size, that's not cool. You can't learn anything from that.
@DrGreenStyleАй бұрын
Not true at all. Have you ever done judo/sparred? This guy was SUPER nice and even soft tossed them and landed on them gentle. He barely even held for chokes. This guy could have completely destroyed them. I would be happy to spar a guy like this if they could do this to me (and have had this happen weekly lol).

How can we really tell he is a judoka? He relied way too much on strenght. The uchi mata was good for sure, but in the last clip he tried an o uchi gari completely against motion, and thats why it failed. Second, he used illegal techniques several times (and judging by the size and skill of the opponents, that was totally unnecesary).
@ethanwhittaker7986 жыл бұрын
Judo in general relies on a lot of strength, to say that it doesn’t matter in a match is inane and dumb. In a shiai it will almost be impossible to hit a throw with perfect technique and finesse. Many judokas in the professionals use a lot of strength and are able to read and opponents move. Ilias iliadis, teddy riner, sohehi ono are all really strong people and use both technique and strength to their advantage.
@vittocrazi6 жыл бұрын
@@ethanwhittaker798 yes, but they fight the toughest guys, just as strong as they are, and very well prepared for the match. if you would put them against a judo green belt just 1 categorie below them, it would probably look like ballet. Not so sure those young guys were powerlifters, but they definitely look like they lift weights. Couple of them act like they were high school or collegiate wrestlers, going for the legs. Guy with no sleeves was smart enough to stay up and go for the arms - not that it did him much good. Have to take the description's word for it that that is judo - looks more like a way to quickly kill people in a brawl.
@iamricegod91935 жыл бұрын
I really didn't see any skill with the judo fighter. He relied way to much on his size/weight. If you put a real "judo" or MMA fighter with decent ground skills that weighs around the same, the outcome would change tremendously. Actually to be honest, you might not even need a huge "judo" fighter to compare with him, a decent sized properly trained judo fighter could probably submit him.
