How about using the colorless blender to combine a grey & another color for a grey tone?
@wendygleason44254 ай бұрын
I would start with the basics. I tend to do that with all new products to determine whether I like them enough to continue to add to the collection.

Love the blue and grey tones. The markers are very cool. I do like that you swatch the marker sticker. This gives the user the true colour vs. a pre-printed, coloured sticker. I agree that they are the same coloured inks, which is awesome. Definitely adding these to my wish list.

Hullo guys, I have the grey and basic sets of the wide markers! I have only use them once besides the swatches for the caps. I found that I had to make a couple of coats to get a solid color. I think you did a wonderful job with this review, I am looking forward to seeing your next video on these markers! Good luck to everyone who gets into the giveaway!

possibly use the colourless blender one over the top to even out the streaks? Probablt why it is in the grey set as they know it is needed for large areas :)

Beautiful markers indeed but perhaps best used for specific things ( or big areas ) like lettering. A long time ago broad nibs was used to write poster to put outside ( behind a plastic cover about sales, information etc ) on the outer walls of grocery stores here in Sweden. Nowadays they will most certainly print posters out instead for a more professional look with pictures etc. Artists can of course find many different uses for the broad Ohuhu markers, your own fantasy sets the limits as usual in the end! Thank you for the informative video dear Jennifer and Steve. Take care! ❤

I really like the swatches for the stickers in getting the accurate color from the ink of each pen showing on top before grabbing one. That seems innovative to me. So smart. Is this company the first to do that? If so, neato. Also, for those of us who have health issues, I like that they can lay down so much color at one time without a whole lot of physical effort. I like to use alcohol markers as a base coat and then color on top with other coloring tools like oil pastels or pastels or coloring pencils and etc. When that is done, somehow the streakiness doesn’t show up as soon as even a bit of another product is put on top of it, especially when close to the same color. This process makes it so that not a lot of effort goes into covering up the light bits of the paper that would normally show through without the marker layer. Often, I have to lay down several layers of the other tools listed above in order to get a professional flawless look. That’s hard when one’s hands start to ache or one’s back starts to hurt and/or fatigue sets in because it then discourages me from ever finishing the project, most especially in one setting. But using a big marker as shown would eliminate too much time having to be spent on a project for those who have limited capabilities. Further, it seems as though it would save the waste of other products used. Instead of going through half a colored pencil on a picture, only a bit of it would be used to go over top of the markers, most especially for large backgrounds. On top of that, remember that then you could use a regular no-color marker to melt the colored pencil or oil pastel into the marker layer, giving it a flawless, vibrant look. The only thing with Copics that may make them more appealing to buy (though the cost is so prohibitive) is the company has a device which transforms the pens into being used like an airbrush, giving an even more no-streaky flawless look without much effort so that even putting another layer of another product over top of the ink is not even necessary. If Ohuhu developed something like that for their line, Copics might have a run for their money. Lastly, maybe Ohuhu could look into offering an inexpensive ink-free pen as well so that people would be able to color match with the new refills (awesome upgrade by the way) as Copic does because there seems to be-unless offered online that I’m not aware of-a lack of a lot of colors like purple, orange, reds, pinks, and so on. But for the Ohuhu user right now, maybe we could just finagle this need to be met by simply allowing a colorless marker to dry out and then fill it with a colorful refill ink that color matches the rest of the project. Again however, it does make the situation a bit cost prohibitive like with Copic. But it is a temporarily fix. Please know that these suggestions were just some thoughts, not at all complaints, in order to make this product more competitive though priced more reasonably. Lord knows how ridiculously and exorbitantly priced Copics are and how we hobbyist artists need tons of help in this area. So any pricing help that Ohuhu sends our way in offering more helpful tools is only greatly appreciated…I know at least by me. Thanks so much for sharing your insights and tips and tricks and taking time to explain things to us. It’s so helpful. GB and happy coloring!

Jennifer and Steve, you may NOT have put any labels on wrong. I put all my labels on with print facing the front/top of the marker. HOWEVER, depending on which way Ohuhu put in the nib (which is angled), means the cap has to be put on to match). I encountered this in my third box. Looks like i messed up labels...nope!

Not really interested, and I see that even just swatched all of them streak. I think backgrounds are better with soft pastels or distress inks or FC gelatos. For me it's not worth the money, but that's just my opinion. I'm sorry but that background is really not looking good at all. Satisfying? I'm sorry, no. It feels like this channel has become an advertising for products whether good or bad.
@emilygoodwin572310 ай бұрын
To be fair I have always used Coloring bliss as a review channel. I don’t use her tutorials. But I think this might be a product misfit for you. I don’t like alcohol markers or gel pens and I wouldn’t consider using them. I have seen other KZbinrs do fantastic things with them. But I don’t think the channel has changed. There have always been reviews. If you don’t normally watch the reviews I think Jennifer is fair to say “this is good for the price”. It sounds like you have some products that work for you. Your comment seems to imply that you also don’t like alcohol markers for different aspects of your work. Great. Now you know, now you can save for something else.

Can you use them to do large backgrounds, e.g. sea, sky, earth, and then use other alcohol markers on top to put detail into your drawing? Would they bleed into each other? Would the added details be clear or muted...? The blues and the landscape tones look, to me, to be the most useful... 🏞️🏖️ I agree, at first I thought they were darker too, however I think they're the same... possibly the grey is a tiny bit different. 🤔
