That or there was no indication of damage on the engine instruments and aircraft hit birds often (1 in 10,000, 100k + flights a day), so using best judgment decided to continue while monitoring the engines. Of course, I have as much evidence for my comment, with I do not assert as fact, as you. however the outcome would appear to support my point. I could have boiled this down to would you have made this observation had it not been Ryan air?
@rx3dn
@rx3dn 18 сағат бұрын
Engines are built to withstand and function properly after birdstrikes. As long as there is no damage or indication on the instruments, there is no reason to not continue the flight. They could have aborted the takeoff (why did you say go around? completely unrelated..) IF they hadn't reached V1 yet.

@@mohammedayaanghugharia I like to think of a wheelie as a force at the rear hub causing a weight forward to be maintained above ground. The weight forward may or may not have a wheel attached. If a unicycle has, or could have, any type of weight forward attached to it, be it a chunk of metal or anything producing a weight forward, and still be considered a unicycle, only then could a unicycle be considered as having the potential of being a wheelie producing entity. I deeply hope this answers your question, and as always.....long live the wheelie!

FWIW the nose wheels on the A380 could not have been damaged, since maximum friction coefficient of the tire against pavement provides a safety valve of sorts to the maximum side load on the wheel, and other design loads (nose-first touchdown, yawed) are more severe. The tires wore faster from the scrubbing, but wouldn't necessarily need immediate replacement.

Just to get out ahead of the myth: It's true that fighter jets in Scandinavia land on highways, and have been doing so for at least sixty years, but not that the USA interstate highways were designed with "one mile straight out of every five" to accommodate military aircraft in time of war. Or anything similar. No provision or intention in their design for aircraft landing.
