I do need to play this game at some point with so many excellent puzzles playing tribute to it. Visit Giant's Deep, an ocean world covered in cyclones and tornadoes. Or just play this Sudoku instead safely in a place of your choosing 😄

Rules:
Normal Sudoku rules apply. Place the digits 1 through 9 in each empty cell. Digits must not repeat within the same row, column, or box.
Kropki dots: A black dot between cells indicates cell values with a 2:1 ratio. Not all dots are shown.
X: Adjacent cells connected with an X must sum to 10. Not all X's are shown.
Dutch Whispers (Gabbro/orange lines): Adjacent digits along each Dutch Whisper line must have a difference of at least 4. Digits may repeat on the line.
German Whisper (Flute/green line): Adjacent digits along the German Whisper line must have a difference of at least 5. Digits may repeat on the line.
Slow Thermometer (Hammock): Digits along the thermometer must not decrease starting from the bulb end.
Region Sum Line (Tornado/blue line): Digits along the region sum line have the same sum within each box the line passes through. Digits may repeat on the line.
Renban (Quantum crystal/pink line): Digits along each renban line must be a set of consecutive digits in any order, and must not repeat.

Lovely solve! I'm quite happy with this one, if you'd just look at the puzzle you'd probably think it was more likely created by Will Power than by me, but I think i managed to combine some nice logic and depict a nice "screenshot" from the game. Giant's Deep is a water planet you can visit, it's got tornadoes everywhere, only a handful of islands, one of which the protagonist can visit Gabbro who's chilling in his hammock playing his flute. If you like puzzle/exploration games I'd absolutely recommend Outer Wilds - it's clever, beautiful, and fascinating for sure.

If you decide to play Outer Wilds - and you should, as the best game ever made - absolutely under no circumstances should you look up anything about it. Go in blind, you only get to play it for the first time once.

I found myself focused on the interactions between the dot and lines in box 8 for way too long. Probably should have waited on that until later in the solve, to let other boxes restrict these values further. My final time was 16:24, solver number 463.

That worked out cool. The 1st thing I did was look at those single cells (one on a blk dot in box2 ) and them having to be the same. 6s or 8s (but that other line couldn't be 6 if there was a 123 in there), so 8s with a 62 in the other line (leaving 5789). A 79 on the German Whisper (setting that polarity -- with 123, then 68 on the blk dot in box4 ). That went to the Dutch Whisper (it couldn't have a 159 changeover in polarity) so, it was a true polarity in there (high/low). I think that slow thermo helped next (I think it forced the renban - the blk dot being 48 in there - so 8 on the line without a 6). I forget, nicely involved throughout though.. (and slow.. < lol). If anyone is wondering how to keep polarity vs parity straight in their mind; The digits (high or low) are near/at the "poles." (That's how I see 'em, but I think that's correct) It bounces back from the 1234 "pole," to the 6789 "pole." That's how I see it, to keep them straight. Fun puzzle 😆

I'm not sure I worded that right, Slueth (me typing slower than thinking and all). But, between "parity" (the Evens/Odds , all of the digits are involved) and "polarity" (the highs and lows being "pole-like"). The "poles," Folks.. (^^ Did I just rhyme again?!) Geez lol 😆

I enjoyed this puzzle, even though I struggled mightily. I thought there was no way this could be a 1-star, but it turns out it is if you read the rules correctly. For some reason, I read the rules as saying that the orange "Gabbro" lines followed a Nabner constraint. Under that logic the puzzle is actually literally impossible because one of the black dots is forced to be 1/6. But after realizong my mistake and restarting, things flowed much smoother.

Is it bad to say I dislike the Dutch Whispers lines? That extra degree of freedom allowing for a possible flip flop on the 5...

21:08, but I feel like I cheated a bit - usually I stare until I either figure things out or I give up and check the solve path of someone like you, and I try to only do that when I'm OK with sacrificing the "pure" solo solve. But i needed help both with working out the blue lines summed to 8 (I knew it was either 8 or 6 but didn't see the resolution) and also needed help recognizing the restrictions on 5 in row 6. Once I put in the 5 in row 6 the whole puzzle collapsed pretty quickly and I feel like I took all the hard work out for myself 😅 still solved either way ultimately
