@@RCGemblung In Canada (where I am), you can build whatever you want. To fly any drone/ rc plane over 250 grams in weight requires at least a basic license though (1 month+ paid online course) I am not sure about the situation in other countries.

I think the intention of the batteries being on the front of the motor firewall was to get CG forward as much as possible but there is a side benefit. Cooling. With a monster setup like that the extra cooling on the batteries is a bonus.

I went the other way with the simple cub. I made mine 78% and replaced the regular paper with tissue paper so it would weigh less than 250 grams. AUW is 215 grams. No registration required. The government can call it an "unmanned aerial vehicle" if they want but it's really just a toy airplane.

This year is the Year of the Giants. but can next year be the Year of the Pixies? I want to see hyper detailed micro planes that look like they can fit easily in one hand like a small Model kit for a shelf, but works and flies using the smallest but most reliable motors, wires, servos, and props

One plane i would like to see is the vultee xp-54 or better known as the "Swoose Goose" be built. From what i heard of it the plane had great flight charateristis it was only betrayed by the motor it had when it was prototyped.

Sorry i haven't checked this lately. Its a150 KV 100cc equivalent motor. 12S turning a 30x8 prop using jetti 300 amp esc.

This motor has a 8mm shaft. Amazon sells a Uxcell brass tube 10mm x 1mm wall that presses tight in the prop.

I did it intentionally, it's to keep with the theme of the original small foamboard kit its scaled from. it's totally cartoon scale .

No, they come in groups. the airframe is one group, the electronics are another package, and the radio is separate. Lots of radio features and price ranges to choose from, after you get electronics, you can swap to another in the same series without buying another motor or battery. go to the Flite test store and pick a plane, watch the build video and you will see everything needed.

On the possibility of it going full throttle in reverse. I literally finished the plane that morning so just being cautious, i like my fingers! One is already a bit short from a prop strike 24 years ago.
