Recently we discovered a Re-upload of one of Megaconda's Videos with 1.5 MILLION LIKES. The video was of her working with a male reticulated that nearly bit her in the face. There were TONS of insane comments on this post, so we thought we would stick up for her a bit.

I am more curious on the actual size of the enclosure for the python. I am not saying it is too small; for all I know it could go on for 4 doors worth. Merely a question and something to prevent people saying it is due to enclosure size as well. I feel if she was working alone, then she did the right thing. She ensured the animal was secure as well as making sure she was safe herself.

Even Kevin said many people say the enclosure looks too small but then didn't elaborate. I think she's probably cramming a big snake into a small space but as someone above mentioned it could be several doors long but it doesn't look like it from how the snake is coiling going in and we all know breeders who cram as many snakes into a space as possible with zero enrichment. I think the problem with vids like this is you guys will know these people personally which makes any criticism very difficult even if it's warranted

I love Kevin when he's teaching us. I really appreciate the way he talks about reptile behavior and the differences between species. I honestly learn so much from these videos. With Kevin's explanations and the fact you guys show the animals the whole time so we can see uninterrupted behavior, it really helps me learn and absorb the information. I also want to say, I really appreciate that Kevin knows his animals, and knows he could do certain things with them safely, but chooses not to for the benefit of the reptile community. Some species are much heavier thinkers imo. There is something in particular special about King Cobras. You can just tell that is an animal that when not reacting is actively thinking and curious and inspecting it's environment. It's like a dog that can kill you by accident... :( Should look into some of the monitor lizard stuff, a lot of them are extremely smart and bond heavily with their humans. Dog like enjoyment of cuddling and the like.

The comments show that some of y’all don’t even watch the videos. Kevin hasn’t said anything bad about Megan and instead he sings her praises on how she handles it. Also y’all are so sensitive about her giving the snake the middle finger. It’s clearly a joke (she’s very sarcastic in her videos if you follow her. She did pinch the tail I suggest you watch it again, hence why the snake came back at her the way it did. She clearly wasn't paying full attention. @@JessicaSimonson1976 So I admit I had the same reaction as a lot of people posting negative comments the first time I watched. But slow down the playback speed. As for shutting the snakes tail in the door, if you can find me a dog or cat owner who hasn’t accidentally stepped on their tail/foot or almost accidentally whacked their pet with something, I’d be surprised. As for the finger, ngl I call my iguana a little d-bag sometimes, and I would do anything for that little jerk (he’s actually very sweet… but he’s also an iguana.) I have a question about King Cobras that may be kind of silly: I was watching some videos with Papa and That made me wonder if removing the venom glands would reduce their immunity(is that the right word?) to venom over time? Do that have other glands that produce it? I wondered if geriatric snakes like Papa and Obsidian may have some reduced immunity since they haven’t had venom glands for so long.

People don't realize that a snake's body language ALWAYS lets you know how they feel. Since my company makes antivenom, most of our snakes have fangs, but we still use pythons for DNA testing & things like that. Retics are notoriously reliable for having good attitudes if you treat them well, & for getting revenge if you act like an idiot & mistreat them... Snakes are just like humans about that... I love working with kings, but I can't stand working with monocled. Monocled are the only species I know that will waste the energy & chase you down the street... 😳... Anytime we get ready to pull them to make it bite the cup, they know what's coming & are automatically defensive... Fk that... I would rather work with a king ANY day... 🐍🐍🐍

Never a boring video from NERD!! There will always be a negative person for everything that is done, that is just the way of the world. Kevin only gives out accolades to those that deserve it so she must be a very good handler. Accidents and mistakes happen but that’s what we learn from. It didn’t seem like she did anything wrong or negative towards the animal. Keep up the awesome work and by the way, king cobras are so majestic and spectacular, those eyes show how intelligent they truly are💚💚💚

It was the unfortunate trapping of the tail that led to the little strike, it happens to the best of us, retics are long getting them all in and keeping them in is no mean feat. A strike always takes you by surprise - her finger reply was justified, a harmless reaction. Slamming the door on its neck wouldn't have been.

Every second spent in the company of Kevin and his animals taking it all in is a second of my life I'd wish to repeat. He takes you on a journey and helps explain the bond hes has with these amazing creatures. He is a true hero to nature and a friend to us all. This is a classroom you're gonna wanna be in. The more time Kevin and his team give us the more u understanding we become in turn the animals benefit the planet benefits we benefit WIN WINER CHICKEN DINNER

Beautiful animals! Great shots of that last King's tail, for example. And of course I love watching Kevin talk about snakes, and interact with them in a respectful way like he does, noting to us viewers details of what he is & isn't doing and why (all for the safety & emotional wellbeing of the animals and for his safety and the safety of any viewers 'taking notes')... Wonderful stuff! It's really an amazing thing to see Kevin consistently so caring and thoughtful of his animals (and any in his care). I can hear my dwarf frogs buzzing in the silence now that the video's over. I rarely get this kind of quiet... I'm so glad they're calling again. (I say "they", but I think it's just one male.) Anyway. Peace.

Great video! Nothing boring in my opinion. Before I started watching videos about snakes I didn’t really think much about them. I have always tried to respect them and keep my distance. Now my favorite snake is the king cobra 🐍. I love their facial expressions and I think they are very interesting all the way around. My favorite king is Kevin.......he seems to have a great disposition and I have grown very fond of him over the years. Your king cobras look like very awesome snakes as well!!! Take care and be safe. 😄💙🐬🐊🐍
