I went on that exact swing this year at camp and it’s my favourite ride/risky thing I have ever done. The wind against your face makes you laugh and you stomach drops. The first time I went on it I went half way and it’s not at all as amazing at the top. If your going to camp and your nervous thinking to go on it or not, do it! Trust me it’s life changing xx

If you were the children and let go you would stay where you were and it doesn’t matter how high you go because your always safe plus you need to pull the rope to go

For anyone scared: I went on a giant swing in year 3 that was 18 metres up. At the top i nearly cried out of fear but there was no way down. I was at the top for 5 minutes. I was joking around about pulling the rope to get me used to it BUT the one time it was completely accidental I pulled it. It was fun in the air. But very scary at the top. For real don't look down, thats why i got so scared. And remember, you can always ask to stop whenever you feel comfortable!

Went there last year with my school, I went all the way to the top. Although I almost pulled the wrong rope and my tummy dropped when I pulled the rope, it was so much fun! Excited to go again this year.

I went on that exact swing in year 6, at first I wasn't but my mates made me do it, its scary going up but your heart drops when the countdown comes to PULL THAT ORANG ROPE. I pulled it and u feel weightless for half a second. You then continue on swinging and u feel great after and u want to do it again. I also did the giant swing in year 7 but it was the one next to the lake which made it a bit more scarier swinging from the top cause u thought u were gonna go flying into the water.

I went on this EXACT same swing in the same camp yesterday and the feeling of dropping down is pretty scary but then the air will blow on your face and it would feel really fun after that :)

I wentnt to currumundi camp less a few weeks ago.......everyone who didn't go to top of giant swing regretted it. The food is top notch, fav was stand up paddle boarding, caving we did: rock climbing, team challenge, building catapults, giant swing, and high ropes as well!

I remember when I went there for school camp, and I was the first one to go so I was super scared. When I got about 3 quarters of the way up I yelled stop, and the instructor was like: “Are you sure, you only get 1 chance?” and I said I was sure and dropped the rope. I instantly regretted it because I only got a little bit of a swing. When I got back down he asked how was it, and I told him that I regretted it. He then did the kindest thing and let me have 1 more try to go to the top. Those few seconds of free fall feel absolutely amazing, and even though I didn’t scream my friends screamed for me. They told me I looked like a rag doll for a few seconds 😂

I went here in year 3 (grade 3 for other places or also primary 4for Scotland and others) and I went for a school trip there to stay 3 nights. I was terrified of this swing and you wear goggles (not swimming ones) so bugs don’t get in your eyes. And all the other school kids in your group pull a black rope to bring you up and you can yell stop when you reach your desired height but I went to the top and then the instructor counted down from 3 and then I pull the orange rope. The wind made my stomach feel funny but it was worth it.. I pretended to fly and run in the air it was really fun. I got down when it stopped and I was so proud of myself and we did other activities and went to bed for my second night and btw my instructor said in archery that if he doesn’t get bullseye he wears a hotdog suit tommorow which was our last day there. And they wake you up early by playing loud music to you and your friends so get a good sleep. If you get a chance to go in school I recommend you do! It can be scary sometimes like on this swing but it is very fun and like a fun double sleepover with your best mates bc you sleep in same cabin.
